Bucciali Freres is a company from the French city of Coobervois, founded by the aviator, engineer and racer Paul-Albert Buccialy. Has achieved some success in racing thanks to numerous technical innovations, but her main source of funding was the proceeds from the shares of the Bucciali family. In 1922-1926. the company produced 113 light sports cars of the Buc brand, then in 1926-1932. built 38 vehicles of the front-wheel drive Bucciali TAV series. It closed in 1932 due to the economic crisis and a failed attempt to enter the American market.
The brothers Paul-Albert and Angelo Bucciali were the sons of the Italian composer Joseph Bucciali. They repaired pianos and organs until 1902, when they attended car races. Having become interested in technology, Paul-Albert entered a flight school and learned how to perform complex maneuvers, after which he repeatedly participated in aviation shows, including on an aircraft of his own construction. During the First World War, he served with the 26th Squadron of the French Air Force. The squadron's symbol was the swept-winged stork, which later served as the emblem for the Bucciali vehicles.

The one-off Bucciali TAV 8-32 was completed in November 1931 with a convertible body from the Guillet workshop. In it, Albert Bucciali, along with Georges Ruhr, made the 1000 km journey from Courbevoie to Nice for a local elegance competition, using only fourth gear to demonstrate the reliability of the engine.

Both Albert and Georges were deeply disappointed with the design of the TAV 8. They decided to change the bodywork, which led to the severance of relations between Bucciali and Guillet. Then Albert turned to the Russian émigré Yakov Savchik, already at that time known for his extraordinary stylistic solutions. In total, Saoutchik has built about 20 bodies for Bucciali cars, of which only two have survived to date - a 4-door sedan and a roadster.

The Bucciali TAV 8-32 sedan by Georges Ruhr was named "Fleche d'Or" ("golden arrow"). With its amazing proportions, it looked fantastic, and even nowadays compared to other cars of the early 30s. it looks unusual. The front-wheel drive system made it possible to reduce the height of the car, and the spectacular roof with narrow windows generally made it incredibly low. Against this background, huge 24-inch wheels, headlights with a diameter of 250 mm and a very long hood had a stunning appearance. Two spare wheels were attached to the rear of the trunk, and on the sides of the hood flaunted images of a flying stork, made of silver, bronze and gilded brass.

In 1932 Georges Ruhr finally became the owner of the first and last Bucciali TAV 8-32. Bucciali did not find any other customers, since the price of the chassis was approximately 130,000 francs, plus at least 85,000 for the body. Ruhr exhibited his car at the 1932 Paris Motor Show and later sold it to the banker Comte de Rivo. The second owner could not appreciate the design of Paul-Albert and installed the Bucciali body on the Bugatti Type 46 chassis.

After the Second World War, this hybrid ended up in the USA, where in the 70s. Raymond Jones found him. To restore the unique car, it was necessary to bring original spare parts from France, including the Voisin engine, and factory drawings, as well as consult with Albert Bucciali himself. In 1997, the Bucciali TAV 8-32 was returned to its original condition and sold to a Swiss collector a year later. In 2001, at the Paris Retromobile exhibition, he was valued at $ 800,000, and then more than once participated in such competitions as Pebble Beach and Amelia Island.
