Wills love for Mike got boiled down to an obsessive hallway crush that was only addressed in a 30 second scene where Michael put a treat on a string and waggled it at us before saying "best friends :) " ,, which ig will got over said crush in like a day so that's insane but alr. Not even gonna talk about the coming out scene I have nothing that hasn't been said before
Vickie got fuckin abandoned and then we never see her again, apparently she's not with Robin anymore. Insane that a show for freaks and outcasts ends with literally no queer rep. And no the epilogue bf doesn't count he legit adds nothing.
The duffers tried to please everybody but ended up ruining all of it for everyone. Mileven was ass, mike couldn't even say ily back and they were super distant the whole season. Jancy is cooked which. Is whatever I guess I suppose they did have some stuff to work out but I wish the breakup was more of a breakup and also stonathan and ronance inklings before byler was not on my bingo card but. Sigghhg
This show had a queer audience that depended on them and trusted them. They thought they'd get the rep that they wanted so so bad. I'm one of them dude I've loved this show for so so so long and I've seen myself in mike and will for the longest time and it was all for what. They made this show for the outcasts and the only group they upset and hurt was the outcasts. It's so upsetting.
Mike could've been the character that was so complex and deep and like so many other people out there. Who suppressed it, who struggle with internalized homophobia and who were able to overcome that challenge. But noooo that'd be too crazy, let's just lobotomize him instead. He legit got no screen time and had basically no emotion except for in the finale. I miss mike, I miss the party. Now because there's no byler, mike is a stupid dickhead and it suckksss
Ik some scenes got cut but that doesn't excuse the INSANE amounts of lying the duffers and other writers did. What did they say, 6 deaths? Where?!?! I don't see them. The painting would be addressed? Mmmm actually no. Don't even mention the queerbaiting dude like holy shit. I feel betrayed. This was not it.
I mean at least it was very well done visually speaking. Other than the wardrobes but thats. Whatever ig. The camera people and editors and lighting and cgi folks have my praise some scenes were so so gorgeous.
Oh and at least we have lumax and jopper
