Could this kid BE any cuter?? 🖤✨️🌙 She's not a baby anymore. All grown up, first day of 7th grade. She left to the bus 5 minutes ago. I miss her already. Please, Universe, let her have a better year this year than last year. Middle school only values conformity - not individuality. And my wild one is a colorful little explosion of personality and pizazz. Kids can be cruel, and try to mock and bully the creative spark right outta ya. She's determined today to go "be the 7th grader she needed last year," lol, and help any lost, struggling, brand new 6th graders she sees today. She got percussion as an elective and is freaking stoked about that. 🖤 Cheers to a new year. This crazy child. Olivia Rodrigo dance party in the kitchen. Kiddo baked a cherry chip cake all by themselves, and... decorated it with chocolate sprinkles, and animal cracker cookies that spell out "sus." Lol. If you have a #genz child, you know. Everything is sus. I was equal parts amused/fascinated/horrified to discover this monkey 🐒 in the bag of cookies who's like, half naked/unfrosted. Who would've thought the cookie underneath was fully detailed? Weird. Very "sus," if you will. Lol. Also sus -- this tweenager chugging cherry sparkling cider from a champagne glass like she knows how. Thanks sissy @valcikae -- you've created a monster. Kiddo plays that they're a wine snob now, asks me which way to properly hold the glass. Lol. Good times though.
