And being sick makes Jesus feel dissociated, which makes him feel like he is There again. (And it also means potential medical intervention, which is also hella triggering, to use a Jesus word...)
I don’t recommend transition lenses, FWIW. If you’re gonna have 2 pairs of glasses anyway, just get prescription sunglasses. Transitions will shift in weird amounts, like when I was playing soccer, if it was an overcast day, they’d still go to sunglasses mode because they could detect the UV rays, but because it was cloudy, then I couldn’t see well. They also take awhile to transition back once you’re inside which I found annoying.
Definitely the reasons I’ve always avoided them. I’ve always figured it would bug me to not have the control over the lenses. But I def know there’ve been times I wished I had them because it was so bright out and I probs wouldn’t have been carrying a second pair of glasses with me. But I have a feeling I’d find them frustrating more often than not which is why I’ve never done it.
