IIRC, homelessness is often caused by drug and/or mental issues that no amount of money can fix. How is that the fault of "the wealthy elite"?
"Her parents died suddenly and then her life got worse" glosses over a lot of things happening, and we're just supposed to assume it's all rich people's fault?
That nobody homeless is responsible for their own state? That they're never criminals who hurt others?
Based on absolutely no evidence?
Seems kinda sus.
You can't expect most people to just take the side of the homeless over the boogeyman rich people, out of class solidarity.
Some rich guy doing something "bad" has a lot less impact on my daily life and wellbeing than someone on my block leaving used needles on the sidewalk.
If I'm lucky.
Might be something a bit more...natural.
Treating all homeless as helpless little victims who deserve endless support from Society™ and ignoring the problems they may cause for themselves and others is classist.
And also ableist.
Whoops, it turns out moniquill has me pre-blocked.
so @moniquill asked1 me this:
4, 15, 42, 44
So, anyway, that's from this list. Here are my answers:
what are you looking forward to?
Hmm.
I do look forward to the day my kids get old enough to play tabletop games, and learn how to code and hack. Because you bet your ass I'll be teaching them.
Child #1 has expressed interest in getting a computer “just like Daddy's”, so I was thinking, when I have the scratch for it, to put together a Raspberry Pi for them. They'll likely just use it to watch YouTube and stuff, but that's okay.
I also look forward to the day where they're old enough for sleepovers or get babysat by people who don't need to change diapers2. That'd be the day.
personality description
Hmm. Very geeky, a little melancholic, somewhat awkward, with bouts of crassness and charm randomly distributed.

Ooh, I've answered this one!
age you get mistaken for
That's… sort of hard? I don't know, I think I look my age, or maybe in my forties (though I'm not yet there, not for another four years). Maybe? I do know what ethnicity I get mistaken a lot for though (Malaysian-Chinese, because of my grandmother).
well, she sent me a message and was okay with me making this a post. ↩︎
child #1 is still valiantly holding out on diapers because they really don't want to do number 2 in the potty. ↩︎
You said a bunch of cool and important things in your tags reblogging the post about making up people to be mad at; would you be willing to instead reblog that as a reply so I can share?
yeah of course!!! i have moved my tags into the body of the post here for you. <3 thanks for reaching out and asking (although i would not have minded if you just wanted to c/p the tags yourself tbh!!!).
love ur blog btw. i'm really enjoying your posts/content!!
@moniquill is a highly recommended blog to my followers!!!!
@moniquill replied to your post: The blood-draw tech put an Iron Man band-aid on...
I apologise on behalf of all phlebotomists. I always ask what kind of band aid everyone wants, if they’re getting a bandaid.
No less than I would expect of you! :-)
She did stick me only once, though, so I can’t be too upset at her.
Friends don't let friends reblog sixpencee. That eclipse photo post.
Hey! Thanks! I didnt realise i had reblogged from them, deleted it from my blog
Yeaaaaah, the 'grandma was a cherokee princess' brigade does need to be stopped, but some folks are a little horrifically zealous about it. And I want to see about 1500000% more information about the interaction or lack thereof of Dalish clans and city elves -from their own perspectives-. As much as I love playing Dalish, I was dissapointed that there was no city elf option in Inquisition
I do think it’s a different flavour altogether, so I see why they did not give us the city elf option and instead opted for a Qunari alternative. I do hope for DA4 that we’ll get to see not just a city elf but rather, what it’s like to be an elven slave or servant. That’s a side of city elves that nobody has been able to experience themselves. Only through Briala were we shown what life is like for a serving elf of Orlais, and only through Fenris have we seen slavery. And I believe it especially fitting if DA4 is set in Tevinter because it would be the only plausible time they could give us that scenario and have it be believable.
My go-to inquisitors are Dalish and Qunari; the only time I've ever played a human was on my 'Ok, gonna romance Cass this time' run. I've played -so many- Wardens, but the 'canonical' one that I end up using for the keep is my city elf Zev-mancer.
Qunari are interesting, especially because it’s hinted (not sure if confirmed yet) that the elves created them by mixing in dragons and other things, which would explain their affinity for the beasts. I’m a bit upset though because you literally can’t make Qunari women look very different from one another. I play on a ps4 so mods are out of the question for me at this point in time. I was originally going to play one for my canon Inquis, but what I had in mind for my character design couldn’t come to fruition in that god awful CC. I mean, they tried, they gave us Qunari as an option to begin with so I shouldn’t complain, but without mods most of them look the same and didn’t fit what I imagined.I like/appreciate Zev a lot, but I LOVE the Alistair & Morrigan romances to no end; both who are, ironically enough, my top two favourites. My canon playthroughs are as follows:DAO: Fenethallan Mahariel, Alistair-mance after finding Tamlen.DA2: Gareth Hawke, fails at romancing Fenris, best buds with Isabela.DAI: Elana Lavellan, Solas romance breaks off & is officially a Cullen-mancer.
