god the stove god cutscene is making me weep. idk on the surface it’s a tale about a god who loved his people so much he sacrificed himself and their memory of him to give them peace, and he was forgotten but the traditions he crafted lived on ... it’s a nice story but something about it just really resonates with me, something about how the traditions of this country from millennia ago still live on in its people today. i just feel like on a meta level there was just so much love put into it. 

there’s just something to me about loving something deeply enough that you create a fictional version of it just to paint the positive qualities you love about it on a fictional canvas, and i get the feeling that the team of writers who wrote this story quest really wanted to get that across. their love and pride for their country. i have mixed feelings about my homeland but ... fuck, man, that kind of love really hits me hard
