yep! in his first few episodes he’s actually 17—home is in in may, and emerald city is in august. in adulthood meyer celebrated his birthday on july 4th, but his earliest records list his actual birth date as august 28th, so given that the 28th is so late in the month he was technically still 17 and about to turn 18 when All That happened to him.

I know that the real Frank Capone only lived until twenty-eight (twenty-eight!) but if you peruse his wikipedia page you will read: ...growing up in New York, both Frank and Al became involved in the Five Points Gang with mobster John Torrio. By 1918, Torrio had moved to Chicago to help a relative defend his rackets, and Torrio soon asked Al and later Frank to join him there.

Meaning we could legitimately have had four seasons of Morgan Spector suaving around all over the place and the Capone family just generally being way more adorable than you would expect of Public Enemy Number One and co. But nooo, we just had Van Alden being...Van Alden? As an iron salesman no less?

When I finished his episodes I went back on IMDB and was shocked to see he was in only four!?!?! He needed a lot more not only because Frank is an amazing character and I loved his interactions with Al and Ralph so much, but also Morgan Spector?
