guess to put it simply we are plushie addicts. we find comfort in solace and support and plushies. more than humans or sometimes even animals. this is really hard because we feel like we are greedy or materialistic. or don't know something we feel really bad because we feel like we are just trying to just collect and buy and buy and get when it's more of a emotional urge or need then something that we're thinking about beforehand it's something that comforts us.
we talk about our plushies we draw our plushies are plushies are a positive coping skill. with our plushie collection when we donated a decent portion of it to get us under 100 plushies it was very hard we had some form of love and bond with all of our plushies but we had some that had more bonds than others.. so we decided hey we're going to downsize and as we downsize it felt like we had a hole in us.. and
as we gain plushies again the fear and the anxiety came back of oh I need another one I need another friend I need another support system to hang out with and draw with and be comforted by their presents and talk with them or they talk through us or they talk to us this is really hard it's really hard to feel this way like plushie addict is that a thing??
because we've been addicts of quite a few many things we're still dealing with and eating disorder and self-harm addiction but plushies have just been a good coping skill all around. but it you know it's draining our bank account but we're trying to like budget it in so we can still get a plushie it's very hard to cope with these bad feelings because, our mind is age stunted by trauma.
yes most of our system members are children but even the older alters still have issues with and deal with similar issues and conflicts even though we're older. we don't want to feel this way we hate feeling this way why can't we just have a normal relationship with this??
but that is the thing we don't have a normal relationship with anything we're mentally ill we're disabled mentally and physically. and these are one of the only things that give us joy and happiness even for it's temporary even if we have to switch plushie to plushie when we dealt with pain with our plushies it was the overwhelmingness of having to choose who we were going to spend time with when we could feel and here all the emotions and stuff of the plushies so it was hard and it was hurtful and we had to take a break and we did take that break and we stopped posting.
we are really mentally ill and we're going through a lot of stuff right now yet we're still trying to post because posting about our plushies is a coping skill that we have talking about our plushies is a coping skill that we've gained through the plushie community and we don't know how to deal with this right now cuz we're really in a lot of emotional pain right now we're in a lot of physical pain right now but we are trying and we want to share this even though we have a bad feeling and guilt about it… just needed to get this off our chest - the dreamdrop system
