𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 | Back at @mooshieslondon again after my first visit last year to try some new and different dishes. The Magic Mushroom burger and the Magic Mushroom Bites are both using their amazing spicy deep fried oyster mushrooms, with the burger adding a hash brown and sriracha mayo. I LOVE their deep fried mushroom, it was also a big part of their @eatchayclub burger that I loved from last year. I say go for the bites on their own and pair them up with a different burger. That burger should definitely be the Fillet-Om-Fish. Panko fried aubergine with tartar sauce, nori seaweed, and vegan cheese. You may not have a similar texture of fish from the aubergine but that seaweed adds all the fishy taste that you need. I really liked this burger, it’s a great fish alternative. I also had the loaded fries, which has jackfruit, caramelised onions, and burger sauce. These are great, too. It’s naturally halal and contains no soya, and tastes exactly like regular burger sauce. It’s also great with chips. 🍔🍔🍔 I used mine in a vegan burger, and I got my patty from @lidlgb which are INCREDIBLE. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 | I’d heard a lot of great stuff about @mooshieslondon, so I was pleased they invited me down to try their food. They are a plant based restaurant, mostly focusing on burgers with some other great sides, in the middle of Brick Lane. First up was the current special, The Filthy K Burger, a collaboration with @eatchayclub. Oyster mushroom, Korean spicy sauce, sriracha mayo, kimchi coleslaw, spring onion. This is definitely the best vegan burger I’ve had (excluding @movingmountainsfoods & @beyondmeat). I’m excluding them as they are meat replicas, but they are also my favourite type of vegan patty. This was so tasty, and that sauce was delicious. The mushrooms were so crispy, it gave a great texture. I’m a massive fan of this, vegan or not I think it’s an amazing burger. I’m planning to get another one the next time I’m in the area, but it’s a special so I’m sure it’s finishing soon 😰. What’s Your Beef? is a black bean and quinoa patty. I’m never usually a fan of bean patties, they don’t hold their shape and get mushed up with the bun. BUT irregardless of this, you are getting a classic cheeseburger taste with this, and it tastes really good. The cheese is good, the onions give it that classic feel, the burger sauce is really nice. I liked the taste of this a lot, I’m just not a fan of the patty falling apart. The Loaded Nachos were good, but to be honest I’m not too fussed on nachos anyway. It’s not something I’d usually order. But I REALLY like their cheese, plus anything with jalapeños on it wins for me. But the Cheese Sticks, MY GOD. It’s the best vegan cheese I’ve ever had. It’s exactly like American cheese, and it melts so well. It’s made from coconut oil (I think) and you’d be fooled if you wasn’t told it wasn’t cheese.
