i'm a long time proponent of the "humans and elves were once the same species" theory but i have been contemplating and I have a quastion
which do u find more compelling ?
elves were once human
humans were once elves
edit: please feel free to explain why in the tags !!
I personally really don't enjoy it when versions of Harvey Dent, portray him as a complete jerkass even before he becomes Twoface.
Complicated and flawed is fine enough - but if he is already corrupt scum who is an asshole to everyone, then it greatly removes the impact and tragedy of his downfall into Twoface compared to if he was once an even somewhat good man.
explain psychward sastiel to me im curious
oh buddy don’t get me started
basically it’s my favourite sastiel au ever… it’s just the concept of sam and castiel being in the mental hospital at the same time in season 7. i don’t care how it happens, but somehow they are both fucked up and they are both there and dean is stressed because this is like the worst thing that could have happened and it only makes him more pissed at cas cause clearly his plan to fix sam failed, but on the other hand sam and cas get to comfort each other and experience the horrors together and it’s full of angst just the way i like it
About to drop a doozy of an opinion, so sorry for that.
5x16 and really all of season 5 remind me of exactly why I hate revived Mary. All Dean wanted was a family who stayed. Zach showed Dean one of his biggest fears and it was Mary saying he was a burden and that at least dying got her away from them.
Like I get that they're adults and her job isn't to coddle them, but revived Mary makes it very clear that she can't get away from them fast enough. That's on top of the betrayal left and right.
Mary and the potential to be so interesting for both Sam and Dean's character arcs, especially when Sam hasn't had a good arc in seasons. And instead she's just a lever to torture them. Her most interesting stuff is with Jack and even that doesn't pay off. She runs around making mistakes, not developing any of the plot lines she's had previously--being a legacy Hunter, wanting a normal life just like Sam, having problems with John that he glossed over after she died, her life being puppetted by angels, heck even the fact that her kids were raised hunters when that's NEVER what she wanted--and being frankly an uninteresting wrecking ball.
Hottest of takes, I prefer John over revived Mary and that man sucks as a human so....
I always prefer Joker to Batman. How strong that preference is depends on the piece of media. If it's Batman 1966 or Batman: The Brave ajd The Bold, then the preference is really minor. But if it's literally anything post crisis or with a dark and edgy batman, I prefer The Joker. Yes, I even prefer The Joker when he's killing children. At least he's entertaining. If Batman had those black and white comics, joker's comics are just vibrant neons. He's a man who sees the world in a way nobody else does. He's crazy, but he's funny. Batman is just dark and intimidating. Batman does not make me feel safe. Joker doesn't really make you feel safer, but at least he seems more likely to make you smile. And that's a compliment.
Culture facts about the second form of Elves
When dead something happens with the masks and it depends on how they died and the companion
LAND RELATED COMPANIONS
If the companion is land related (fox, deer, cat, raccoon) they get buried
If it was an animal attack, illness or a child the mask gets buried with them
If it was old age the next of kin gets the mask and decides what to do with it, most hang it on the edge of the grave stone
SEA RELATED COMPANIONS
If the companion is water related it's a burial by sea
If it was an animal attack, illness or a child the mask gets sent off with them
If it was old age the next of kin gets the mask and decides what to do with it, most put it in their old room or on a wall
AIR RELATED COMPANIONS
If the companion is air related then they get burned in a fire so the smoke can go back to the sky
If it was an animal attack, illness or child the mask burns with them
If it was old age the next of kin gets the mask and decides what to do with it, most stake a pole where the person was burned and hang it there
No matter the companion, if they get murdered by a human, the person that kills them takes the mask as a form of a trophy
If the human dies and companion doesnt, the companion gets depressed and quit taking care of themselves until they eventually die as well
If the companion dies and human doesnt, the human can live but feels as though a part of them are missing and will never be able to get them back
They do not do a burial, of any kind, if one is alive as it would be like separating the two forever, when buried together they believe they get to stay together forever and be siblings in any time and world
part 1 , part 2 , part 3 , part 4
