cooliver and gossip girl. idk i’ve been thinking abt this.
cooper is so chuck (never denies the gay rumors, fashion conscious, insanely wealthy, emotionally unavailable parents, relentlessly intrusive). and in my mind chuck getting sent to boot camp and the character growth that resulted from his monkey dying is like the equivalent of cooper living with the otto's and giving up his credit cards.
and oliver is so dan (insecure, poor, academic, bisexual, obnoxious and weird family, mom who so desperately wants him to be gay). and katie would so throw a coming out party like dan's mom did for him. like no doubt at all. and cooper would be there like chuck was for dan.
so i guess that means trevor is greg in this scenario which makes sense bc of that weird triangle-esque dynamic they had in gossip girl.
but also, i hate dan and chuck so oliver is blair and cooper is serena. bc oliver's obsession w/ harvard isn't even close to blair's obsession w/ yale. they are both academically driven and work hard and think they're better than everyone else. and cooper is serena in the sense that he's the richest, has parents who are always traveling and don’t care abt him, and bc he also has almost no genuine friendships besides oliver. and they're best friends ofc
