For all you Neloth simps. I love him and hate myself for it. BTW this is set in Morrowind but for you Skyrim only, don’t worry, you really don’t need the extra Morrowind context. Other than Berengeval is a Bosmer servant of his and Tel Naga is his tower in Morrowind
Being a Telvanni wizard is hard enough, but a member of the Council? Now that was a job and a half. Poor Neloth had been awake for the past four days, just trying to finish his research project that the council. He had become even more insufferable than before, driving the residences of Tel Naga insane.
Finally, he completed it, and then proceeded to sleep for 27 hours. Honestly, you didn’t know how he did it without nearly killing himself. The stress would nearly kill any normal person.
Neloth sat in his bedroom reading a book, somehow. “Do you ever stop working?” Neloth looked up from his book at you.
“Bah,” he said waving his hand, “I don’t much care for rest.” You shook your head in disbelief. Then you got an idea.
“You know what,” you said, grabbing his book out of his hand, making him angry, “we should play Poker. It might take your mind off of all of that work.” Neloth looked at you with great disdain.
“Why? There’d be no point to it.” He said.
“Aw I just think you're too chicken because you knew you’d lose.” You said with a smirk, knowing you had him.
“I am not a chicken, what is this...game?”
“You’ve never played Poker?”
“...No…” You laughed at him.
“Oh well, were gonna make this...interesting,”
Berengeval moved upstairs to Neloth’s room to find him, but all he saw was a...sight to behold.
Neloth was drunk out of his mind, you were no better, the room looked like a tornado had run through the room. All he could do was to just...stand and watch.
“Berengeval!” Neloth shouted, startling the poor Bosmer, “Get us some more *hic* booze! We’re *hic* out and I have to *hic* win!’
Berengeval stood in utter shock, as you just giggled viciously. He ran off to get more booze, and the others. They all watched in awe as you both continued to take shots every time one of you would lose. Finally, Neloth was so drunk he couldn’t see straight. You weren’t in too bad of shape. You were just absorbing Neloth’s hilarious behavior.
“Hahahaha! Neloth, I’ve never seen you like this. I’m gonna tell everyone that you're such a lightweight!”
“You s’wit, I *hic* am not a *hic* lightweight! Your jus-*hic* cheating!”
Neloth woke up with a headache worse than everything he’s ever felt. He was going to try to sit up, but he felt a weight on his chest that was preventing him from doing so. He glanced down and saw your head on his chest. Then he remembered last night.
Every bit of him wanted to leap out of bed, push you off, and yell at you for the hell you put him through, but he just couldn’t. You did it to help and some part of him appreciated that.
So he just went back to sleep, pulling you closer, and smiling.
