I love the idea of max's family being just so crazy Big is so funny and endearing to me, like, imagine max babysitting all the Bunny children asdasd(tho his closest cousins are huey Dewey and Louie)

there are characters that i didnt put there cuz they are not as close to family members to max as this ones are(pete is just an occasional friend) or just not official family members like Gilbert goof or mama goof(this are the found family members)

What is the ideal personality of Morty and Ferdie to you?

Like if you had an opportunity to write these characters for a comic or a show and had free reign to interpret them however you wanted, what would you do?

What’s your opinion on how to portray mickeys family, with characters like morty and ferdie

It really depends on how you want to portray it, most of the time they're just, smaller versions of Mickey with alternative colors and it's fine if you want to continue it, it's on character after all (who's the Morty who's the Ferdie)

Yet it wasn't always going to be like this, since it is said that Floyd Gottfredson himself knew that and had plans for them

Based on this, I'd say to give them a bit of personality. I personally find them more interesting when they're not Mickey clones and this goes to all Mickey's relatives

More sketches but it’s Ferdie and Morty!

I haven’t draw my boys in a really long time, I’ve been working on their designs since 2021/2022 and I stopped drawing them at the beginning of 2024, they went from hating each other to depending on each other.

Initially Ferdie was supposed to be some type of black sheep of the family (avoidant, hated everything, and was the stereotype of emo), while Morty would get all of the attention from their family (he wanted to be just like his uncle Mickey) popular boy that plays soccer, was a theater kid, and would mention his uncle non-stop.

But with the time I found unnecessary that they had to hate each other? So I changed their designs and personalities.

Morty still likes the same things, but he’s no longer preppy, he’s friendly, nice, and he is impulsive, while Ferdie is still more introverted than his brother but he’s logical, patient, and even sarcastic, the only issue is that they depend on each other.

If Ferdie’s brain isn’t working then Morty doesn’t know what to do, and if there problems (like an enemy) and Morty can not attack, Ferdie doesn’t know what to do. Morty attacks, Ferdie strategizes. They depend on each other to defend themselves.

They are both teenagers, so they are not completely in the DT17 timeline, but they do know the triplets and Max, just, they are teenagers too instead of 10/12 year olds (idk if it makes sense?)

In my Au they face multiple enemies and even go to some type of civil war at the wasteland, so Morty looses his arm, but that’s they way he finds out he likes mechanics too and thinks it’s completely cool to have a robot arm ✨
