Do y’all ever think about how upsetting/insulting it must be for Monty that Bevan doesn’t think he’s taking the war seriously because Monty has the most to lose if they don’t take the war seriously
Honestly just the juxtaposition between Bevan and Monty is super interesting to me
Bevan is very careful and precise with his planning because he’s trying to prevent as many soldiers deaths as possible (is it canon that Bevan served in WWI? I really don’t know but it’s canon to me at least), and Monty throws caution to the wind and is very reckless because he wants to drive the Nazis out of Europe by any means necessary in order to prevent as many Jewish deaths as possible and they both think that the other doesnt care about whats ACTUALLY important here. They are both watching Their People die en masse with no end in sight and they just want to do something that might prevent at least one death

autistic friendships are the best because hanging out can either mean 'Let's sit near each other, i'll work on my knitting while you watch youtube videos and we don't have to talk to each other at all,' or it can mean 'So first we'll connect my computer to the projector so we can watch the sound of music while i explain the historical context to you in detail, and then we'll connect your switch to the projector so you can show me your pokemon and tell me all about the game mechanics using a broom handle to point at stuff on the screen like you're a lecturer at pokemon university'
If I had a nickel for every West End musical comedy that went to Broadway with an improbably tiny cast and features a British autistic guy and his far more confident friend(?) who has issues of their own that they don’t want to talk about and a sibling who’s mentioned frequently but is (almost) never actually seen onstage, and the act 1 closing song is about the two main characters on a bar crawl getting incredibly drunk to forget all their problems, id have two nickels which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice right?
If anybody asks I am feeling very very normal about how Sam Tutty says “you were always enough” in Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York)
