More clangen fanart, this time with some of my favourite Morningclan cats

Primstalk was one of the first cats I fell in love with in Morningclan. Their beautifully patterned pelt stuck out to me as well as their pretty name. It also helped that I was so attached to their pretty calico mother, Bramblebee. I loved all Bramble’s other kits too, Egretpaw, Downclaw, Peatwhisker and especially Crouchwhisker and Tallbite, the only of the siblings to make it to elderhood together. The littermates other mother is quite special to me too, Slightflood, daughter of founding clan members, Waspholly and Rockstar. Back to Primstalk, they were made deputy quite young due to a lack of qualified cats in the early days of the clan. Their ambition and good fighting skills took them far. They chose Swanheart as a mate, a formerly abandoned kitty pet kit who had been left with the clan. He was always on the nervous side but was a talented hunter. I was concerned and pretty sad when Swanheart died after only having a single kit with his beloved mate. That kit is Jetshadow. Primstalk followed their mate to starclan but not before a fair bit of trauma, including a scar from an otter and nearly drowning in a river. They died in a battle against Roseclan, that same battle killed Bramblebee as well.
Jetshadow stole my heart right away. Dark fur with blue eyes is a lovely combo and I love the pretty berries she wears. Jetshadow is a calm headed warrior, and a great teacher to their former apprentice ferretbloom. She survived a wicked fight with a dog, earning scars and losing a leg in the battle. Her mate Ospreysky was a medicine cat, a good one at that and very loving. It’s tradition among my clans to make ginger cats med cats, and Ospreysky was no execption, especially when sickness raged through Morningclan, requiring more medicine cats to be trained. They were trained by Jetshadow’s relative Tallbite. Jet and Osprey had several kits together, their first litter is very close to my heart, Cedarwhisper and the late Mottlepelt. Cedarwhsiper is the spitting image of her parent, right down to the odd eyes. She is also a med cat trained by Tallbite, but not originally. She her first trained as a warrior, as evident by the scar she got from a twoleg trap during a patrol. The bold young cat is a great healer and never regrets changing her path to help her clan when they needed her most. The loss of her littermate, Mottlepelt was a tough time for her and her family. He was a strict cat and a great speaker. He suffered much before dying alongside many clanmates. He was ordered by Burdockstar to fend off a badger which caused him to lost his tail and he also lost a paw in a twoleg trap just like Jetshadow. The pair have younger siblings too, Brookheart, who was the resembled grandparent Swanheart, Antlerpelt who looked like Jetshadow, gingers Fadedfur and Fadedfoot and pale pelted Heronhollow, the black, or rather, white sheep of the family. After Jetshadow lost her mate, she took another, pretty calico Branchjaw. They have had one litter together so far, Burdockpaw, Frostpaw and Icypaw, who have just turned 6 moons old and started their warrior training. I’ll be keeping a close eye on Icypaw who takes after Jetshadow, the only surviving family member who does.
Heronhollow is the bloodline that grabbed my attention though, but not because of her, but rather her mate. But lets talk about her before we get into that. Heron is playful and smart, bringing light to the days of sorrow and loss. Thanks to the influence of her former mentor, Aurorafur, she learned how to be a fine warrior and become a lot more outgoing. Her mate is Buckspots. This cat didn’t stand out to me at first, aside from being Warmcreek’s daughter who was from a set of triplets I loved. But then Buckspots was ambushed by a wolverine, killing her instantly. Or so I thought. When I looked through Morningclan’s ranks, thERE SHE WAS. Long live the immortal Buckspots who said no to starclan. I’m sure her patrol mates were very confused to come home to find Buckspots just chilling after they witnessed such a brutal attack on her. Anyways haha, Buckspots is a wise cat in spite of her young age... and knack for walking into trouble. And a good fighter, escaping the jaws of death without so much as a scar to show for it. Her and Heronhollow have two litters of kits so far, twins Blossomspeckle and Ferretbloom who take after Warmcreek and his matching siblings, and newborn kits, Seedkit and Birchkit, who I hope grow up to continue this family line I love so much.

As some of you may have predicted given the name of our newest round of applications, we’d like to reveal that Roots or Rivers will be a NettleClan and CreekClan based opening!
