Miracle Knights, A Champions AU Concept

My brain is back on a Miraculous Champions kick, and I have thought of a really interesting concept for this half modern, half medieval world where the Kwami's existence is public knowledge and the world and it's culture is so changed because of it.

I call the concept "Miracle Knights", which is something that kind of ties in to my Kwami power and mechanics overhaul that I more or less use in all of my AU's (Located here for your convenience: https://www.tumblr.com/moonfly7/806968014656471040/false-heroes-au-kwami-and-miraculous-overhaul?source=share).

Basically, with my Kwami cannon having all kwami being two parts of a pair of at least one concept(ladybug and cat are creation and destruction plus luck and bad luck, butterfly and peacock are the emotion duo, etc), I started thinking about how most of these pairs would be at there most powerful when used together by two seperate wielder instead of by one wielder at the same time, and how it would be interesting to do something signficgant with that.

I then connected this with the Champions AU rule that everybody has different compatibilitiy with every miraculous and Kwami and you need a high enough compatibility to actually use the miraculous' full power without dying. I had previously considered this idea that back when the Guardians actually had full miracle boxes and real organization and power, a requirement for being a Guardian of one would be that you had to at least have enough compatability with every kwami in your box to at least be able to use every miraculous in the box.

But the more I thought about it the more I realized that it would likely be literally impossible for someone to be compatible with both halves of a pair. I couldn't imagine vibing both with Tikki and Plagg, or Mullo and Longg, the mouse and dragon kwami, who literally represent the exact opposite sides of their joint domains.

So I had this epiphany that maybe in the Champions universe, back when there were actually complete miracle boxes, they were guarded by two people. A pair of Guardians, each of them compatible with one half of the twenty miraculous in their miracle box. These pairs were called "Miracle Knights" and they were the perfect team. They were literally the yin and yang to each other, each complimenting and contrasting perfectly both with the Miraculous they wielded and the way they acted. Perfect partners. Together against the world.

I think you see where this is going.

Obviously, my goal/end game for Adrien and Marinette is to make them proper Miracle Knights, a team caring for a full miracle box of ten complete Kwami pairs.

Now, partially what's signifigant about this is that there are no Miracle Knights left, both because most of them are just dead, but because even those who survived the destruction of the Guardians as a unified organization before becoming the fractured and disconnected Resistance cells we see now just no longer have a full Miracle Box.

Now, this leads us to the idea that Adrien and Marinette will eventually have a full 10 Kwami pairs and thus a fully completed Miracle Box. However, and I'm really really excited about this, Adrien and Marinette will not just be wielding the fully completed Mother box/Chinese Miracle Box. Honestly, the Kwami for that particular box are so scattered that they would struggle to find them all in a single lifetime. Instead, while they will have at least two pairs from the Mother box (Ladybug and Cat, Mouse and Dragon), their new miracle box, and their shared Knight concepts/Kwami pairs, will be mostly made up of new kwami they find on their journey to rescue Adriens dad, and stop the Empire of Black and Red once and for all.

This will require a biiiiiit more work from me because I will have to create, at most, 8 new pairs of kwami, 16 kwami total. But I'm really excited about it, and it's not like I can't use these OC Kwami in my other works later on if I want too. Having more Kwami which I know the powers, personality, and rough stories of certainly isn't going to hurt me in any way, at least.

Getting really excited about this AU. But don't worry, I'm still just as Excited about my False Heroes AU and my Luck and Strife AU. I'm going to lock in on only actively working on fics for these three right now, and only after I get one of these done will I start working on another one of my AU's as a full fic.

This doesn't mean I won't be posting new AU ideas or anything, it just means those AU's aren't going to get full fic attention until I clear some of my work load here. I have way to many ideas stuck in my brain to actually stop myself from releasing the pressure by venting them to the void that is Tumblr.

Zodiac Heroes Poll: Mouse

Another idea I kinda want to play around with and plan for is the chaos of Fu only having the Chinese Zodiac and he releases them all to spite and deal with HM, cause how dare he misuse a Miraculous.

Only there are 12 heroes and a struggle to decide who gets what as possibilities are endless. I have tried and just kept going back and forth and constantly changed my mind.

So for fun, let's do them in polls! I'll be doing three a week, and provide links to other polls as they get released.

Choose very carefully, as each Zodiac will have a variety of potential characters to use it. What character wins in this poll is what they get and that option is removed from future polls.

Mouse Miraculous will have the power Multitude, which can clone the user endlessly, all clones are mentally linked, though the clones will have the same physical capability as the user with no additional strength, speed, or agility. Clones are also very delicate, and will poof away out of existence from a single hit. When clones are dismissed or return to the original, the 5 minute timer will start.

Mullo is a kwami who is quiet and impish. One of her favorite pastimes is pull pranks and messing with humans. She is competitive and thrives for success, preferring it through subtly, cunning, and resourcefulness. She values wit and cleverness, and urges her humans to think out of the box, and to go for what they want, any means necessary, even making use of others around you and their unique strengths. If she likes a human, she can be very affectionate and helpful, but if not, she will set up humans for failure as a (spiteful) lesson, and for her own amusement.

Mullo the Mouse, Kwami of Abundance

Mullo! A very cute little kwami. I made a few minor changes to their design: made the ears more oval and gave them a more mouse-like tail, and of course a nose. Let the kwamis have noses. Also two sets of whiskers because I think it's cute.

I changed the concept from Multiplication to Abundance because I think Abundance sounds much better as a concept. I don't think Multiplication is an unfitting concept though, it does work well, even if the canon power is more closer to division. My version of Mullo's powers can create copies of the same size though, and also make copies of other objects as well.
