If you were to change Barkk's appearance into another breed of dog what would you change it to? (personally I lean more towards dalmatian or cocker spaniel since they have dog features that are well known but unipue enough that it won't overlap with other animals like how certain dog ears resemble pig ears)?
Well, given that it's the Chinese Zodiac, I would do a Chinese breed of dog, ideally the most ancient playing off that Miraculous are ancient and would work off the breeds that existed then, like the Chow Chow.
Alternatively, I feel they could play off dog's history, and do a wolfdog (which China does have a breed of wolfdog called the Kumming dog), which could have the Dog be one of those Miraculous that have a dual representation, like Butterfly/Moth, Bee/Wasp, Goat/Sheep, ect.. So this way you could have Dog also associated with Wolf, and save down on that Miraculous potentially existing.
Which you can do already as dogs do have a close history with wolves, and can also do so with Fox since they also play close roles in culture; it's just Barkk's floppy ears makes that a little hard, and Fox and Dog don't really have the aggression to back the wolf aesthetic.
Side note, I think they missed out on a solid name for the dog kwami: Chasse, which is hunt in French, and could've been a pun off chase.
