Movie Review: The Suspicions of Mr. Whicher
I’m like 90% sure I read the book first! I definitely support that idea.
Starts off with a great hook, but then gets a bit slow... character building and whatnot. As I watched, the plot started sounding familiar. It must be a British TV show vibe, but the shooting style reminded me of #TheFrankensteinChronicles . But the story line echoed of #AliasGrace and #LizzieBorden
Paddy Considine portrays a believable and trustworthy detective, and the ending is satisfying, and leaves the audience fulfilled, at least in my case.
Final Grade: Solid “B”
