Today Liam shared some news with me - we’re moving! Liam feels that the Lord is calling him to return to Windenburg to continue sharing the Lord’s word. I was very upset at first and tried to convince him otherwise, but Liam reminded me in the words of 1 Peter 3: “Wives, be subject to your husbands.” I was ashamed of myself for doubting Liam, and responded joyfully to where the Lord is leading him!
I told the girls that we were moving, and of course they are sad to be leaving their friends and cousins, but I reminded them that Liam is the headship and the Lord’s will comes directly to us through Liam, so they must practice contentment!
Ruby especially is having difficulties - she’s so close to her cousins, so we had a special mother-daughter talk. I reminded her of Colossians 3: “Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord.” Didn’t she want to please the Lord, I asked her? Fortunately she broke down crying (AN: who doesn’t derive joy from a traumatized child?) and promised to go forward with a joyful heart for the Lord! I suggested she start packing up the girl’s room to demonstrate her dedication to following the Lord and her earthly father.
