Realized in all the chaos I never updated.
We got a place!!
It’s not the place we really wanted. They kept pushing making a decision and we just needed to know where we were gonna be living. Not 12 hours after we signed with this apt, we get a message from the owner of the other place via our realtor offering it to us. 😐
While the other place was stunning and spacious this one is probably better as far as amenities nearby, walkability, closer to our friends. We have keys to the new place. There are lots of things they need to fix (why they didn’t do anything between the tenants moving out and us is beyond me) and we’re getting things delivered slowly (couch, rugs, shit we didn’t have space for in our current place) but we’ll move our own shit in at the end of the month, before all the students come back which is good.
Internet install rescheduled to next week, hopefully the couch will also arrive that week. Need to get a rug or two and a lamp for the living room are musts. Only the kitchen has overhead lighting so that’s fun.
The boxes and moving things around the apt are stressing out our boy though. I wish there was a way to tell him he’ll love it and have more space for zoomies and even a proper cat tree!
