A delicious burger inspired by the classic Caprese salad, featuring juicy heirloom tomatoes, fresh basil, mozzarella cheese, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze.
Ingredients: 1 pound ground beef. 4 hamburger buns. 4 slices mozzarella cheese. 2 large heirloom tomatoes, sliced. 1 cup fresh basil leaves. 1/4 cup balsamic glaze. 2 cloves garlic, minced. Salt and pepper to taste. Olive oil for grilling.
Instructions: Warm up the grill over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef to a bowl and add the minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix it well, then shape it into 4 burger patties. Spray the burgers with olive oil, then put them on the grill. Cook for four to five minutes on each side, or until they're done the way you like them. For the last minute of cooking, put a slice of mozzarella cheese on top of each burger and close the grill lid. This will melt the cheese. Split the hamburger buns in half and toast them a little on the grill while the burgers are cooking. Put a grilled burger patty on the bottom half of each bun to put the burgers together. Add slices of heirloom tomato and fresh basil leaves to the top of each patty. Cover the tomatoes and basil with the balsamic glaze. Put the top half of the bun on top of the burger's ingredients to finish it off. Warm up your Heirloom Tomato Basil Caprese Salad Burgers and serve them with your favorite sides. Have fun!
