Mr Ackerman: Chapter Five
Y/n L/n is a single mother and the new CEO of Sina Enterprises. She and her son JJ had moved to the city after Y/n’s promotion. JJ is enrolled into Sina Elementary School and things start getting interesting after Y/n catches feelings for JJ’s form teacher, Mr Levi Ackerman. How will things play out?
———————————————————————
“Mom. Lily gave me this cool key chain. Look.” JJ shows Y/n and she smiles. It was a blue rose with a “J” on it. “That’s really sweet of her, JJ. Did you say thank you?” She asks and he nods. “Good. Go get your shoes, we need to leave soon.” She ruffles his hair and he goes to his room.
After getting ready, Y/n drives JJ to school and drops him off at the gate. She watches him leave and then she drives to her work. Today was a big day since Erwin agreed to meet her. He was one of the buyers in the company so he technically owned a portion of it.
She parks her car and goes into the elevator from the building’s garage and waits to go to her office.
“Good morning, Ms L/n.”
“Morning, boss.”
“Good morning, ma’am.”
All workers greet her as she walks to her office and she greets them back. Y/n unlocks her door to her office and walks to her desk. Sitting down on her chair, she leans back and sighs until there’s a knock on the door.
“Boss?”
Y/n looks up to see her assistant, Nanaba, standing there with coffee. “Hey.” Y/n greets and Nanaba. She places the coffee on the table then hands Y/n some papers. “Shall we?” Nanaba asks and she sits down and Y/n and her go over all of the work that needs to be done over the coming work.
Two and a half hours passed and Y/n sorts out papers as Nanaba looks at her. Y/n picks her head up and squints her eyes at her assistant. Nanaba had a stupid grin on her face and Y/n scoffs.
“What are you smiling at?”
Y/n asks and Nanaba shakes her head. Y/n leans back into her chair and crosses her arms over her chest. She raises her eyebrows to say “cut the crap” and Nanaba smiles.
“How’s Levi?” Nanaba finally asks and Y/n widens her eyes. “What do you mean?” She asks.
“JJ told me that you two slept on the bus together. Well, you, Levi, Lily and him. To quote him “like a little family”.” Y/n looks down at her desk and sees the little boy’s picture in the frame. He was so happy and he deserved everything good in this world. Including a complete family. As Y/n was about to speak up when a man knocks on the door. The duo look and Nanaba almost faints.
“M-Mr Smith!” Nanaba exclaims and Erwin smiles at her then Y/n. “Hi, Ms L/n. I hope I’m not intruding.” He says and Y/n shakes her head. She looks at Nanaba and motions for her to leave. “Thanks Nana. I’ll ask for the rest of the papers later.” Y/n lies and Nanaba nods and gets up. She walks past Erwin and she sighs. ‘He smells like caramel~.’
“Come in, Erwin.” Y/n tells him and he sits in the vacant seat across from her. She sips her coffee then looks at him. “And what brings you here, three hours earlier than our meeting?” She asks and he leans forward, mimicking her posture. “A certain lady. She had an interesting file with her the last time I was here and I wanted to ask her about it.” ‘A file?’
“What file?” She asks and he raises his eyebrows. ‘You know.’ Y/n opens her desk drawer and nods her head. “Oh. You meant this.” She places the Naruto inspired file on the desk and Erwin chuckles. “Yes! That one. I didn’t take you for an anime fan, Y/n.” “Same here, Erwin.” She smiles and Erwin returns it.
The two converse in conversation and Erwin was certainly charming. He was 6 foot tall, blonde, well-mannered and an overall gentlemen. “Y/n. how is your son? JJ?” he asks as he looks at the pitcutre on the table. “Oh. He is fine. He is loving the new school here. He made a lot of new friends here.” Y/n replies and smiles, thinking about how happy her son was when he tells her about all of his friends and the fun things they do in class.
“That’s good. And what about you?”
Y/n tilts her head in confusion. “What about me?”
“Have you made any new friends here? How long has it been? Four months since you moved here?” Erwin looks back at her and she sighs as she outs her head on her hand. “I don’t have time for friends, Erwin. I mean, I have Hange and Nanaba but otherwise no.” She concludes. “Hange?” “Hm? Oh yeah. She is the secretary at Sina Elementary and also my childhood friend.” Y/n explains and Erwin nods. “Do you know her?” Y/n asks and he nods. “She went to college with me. Here at Sina. Funny, I’ve never seen you around.”
“Yeah, I moved to Maria for college and lived there for a while.” Y/n tells him. Erwin makes his way back to the chair and sat in front of her. He looks at Y/n as she writes and she meets his baby blues. “What?” She asks. “I would like to take you on a date, Y/n. If you don’t mind. There is a beautiful restaurant around here and i would like you to come and see it with me.’ Erwin smiles and Y/n widens her eyes. “uh, what?” she asks and Erwin chuckles.
“I would really like to get to know you, Y/n. You’re a strong and smart woman and not to mention the CEO of a company. Let me know?” he asks and she nods. Erwin gets up from his chair and begins to walk out from her office. But before he does, he turns and winks at her.
“Oh my god.”
====
“He asked you out?!!” Hange yells out whhile almost spilling her wine.
“Shhhhhhhhh, Hans. JJ is sleeping.” Y/n shushes her and Hange laughs. “Holy fuck. Erwin is so charming though. Should’ve copped him in college to be honest.” Hange says, sipping her wine. “You should’ve so i wouldnt have to go through this.” Y/n replies and picks up her legs to rest on the couch.
“Tell me why you won’t say yes, again?”
“He is literally my boss. I know he’s been interested in me for a while but I just don’t think that it’s a good idea. Plus, I’m already interested in someone.” She trails off in thee end by drinking her wine, hoping Hange didn’t catch on. But she did.
“WHO? TELL ME!!!!”
“Hange, shut up!” y/n tells her and slaps her head.
“Sorry. But who is it? Tell me. Pleeeassseee.” Hange begs and Y/n sighs at her over exciteded best friend. Hange was always like this. Whenever Y/n had a crush or someone was interested in her, Hange always tried to set her up. Y/n wasn’t one to initiate a relationship, mostly because she had other things going on, but when Mikoto came along and Y/n and him “vibed” as Hange says, they just clicked.
“Please don’t say anything to him. I’m beggin you here.” Y/n sys and Hange takess off her glasses and sets them on the table. She faces Y/n and holds out her hands and motions Y/n to do the same. Y/n rolls her eyes and places her hands over Hange’s. “I solemly swear to not tell anyone.” “Do you promise?” “I promise. Now who is it? Ifyou say not to tell him, that means i know him.” Hange puts on her thinking face while Y/n decided to wait for her to figure it out.
Suddenly, Hange gasps loudly and points at Y/n. “You like Levi?!?!” She asks and Y/n rolls her eyes. “I don’t know if I like like him yet, but he is an interesting person. but Hans,” Y/n takes Hange’s hands, “what about Mikoto? I feel like I’m betraying him. Maybe I should just decline the date Levi asked me.”
“He already asked you out?” Hange asks and she nods.
“Ok, I’ll get to that later. About Mikoto. Y/n, sweetie, it’s been two years, going onto three. I noticed you stopped using your ring, that’s a big step. You deserve to be happy with someone you love and loves you back. It’s not bad for wanting to move on. He will always be in your heart, but it’s time to let go.”
Hange explains to Y/n who had tears in her eyes. “But what about JJ? What if he hates me because he thinks im replacing his dad? i can’t handle that.” Y/n cries and Hange brings her in for a hug. “He will never hate you, Y/n.”
JJ stood by the lounge door and heard all of the things his mom said. But he turns back and goes back to his room.
====
The next morning, Levi was in the kitchen sorting out breakfast for him and Lily.
“Lils! Hurry up!”
“Dad, where’s my shoes?!”
“By the door!”
He hears her little footsteps run down the stairs and then onto the wooden floor. Levi turns from the stove with the pan and places the eggs on the two plates. He then pours tea for him and orange juice for Lily. She hops onto the stool and waits for her breakfast. “Here. Don’t forget to take your medication.” He says and she nods as she eats her eggs. He leans down and eats with her as he looks at his girl.
She lifts her head up and smiles at him and he scoffs. “Wipe your mouth, brat.” He says and wipes her lip. “Daddy. Do you like Y/n?” She suddenly asks and Levi chokes on air. After his coughing fit and a smiling Lily, he sips his tea and looks at her.
“What?”
“You and Y/n were holding hands at the aquarium. Does she like you too?” She asks. Oh, children’s innocence. Levi leans on his elbows so his face to face with Lily. “What would you think if I said yes?” “I think it’s awesome. She’s super nice. And super pretty too.” Lily says and Levi nudges his nose with hers. “I’m glad you think that, Lils. But hurry up. We’re going to be late.” He tells her and she eats quickly and gives Levi her plate and he washes up as she gets ready.
Levi puts on his jacket when he feels his phone vibrate. He takes it out and sees the person he was just talking about messaging him:
‘We need to talk.’

Good Night, Dear and Sweet Dreams Vol. 10 Mikasa Ackerman
"…You don't smile, do you, Mikasa?"
In the few moments at the Survey Corps* barracks before sleep, Sasha tilted her head and stared at Mikasa.
"It's not like I'm doing consciously."
"Why not try making the biggest smile you can, just once? Like this, a big old grin!" Sasha said, sticking fingers into both sides of Mikasa's mouth and forcing it to go as far as it could. Before Mikasa could brush her arms away, Annie mumbled something as she passed by.
"Keep it up and you're getting sliced."
"Eeek!"
Sasha pulled her hands back in a hurry.
"We all have our own times when we feel like smiling. Why don't you leave her alone?" Annie continued.
"I know, but…"
When we feel like…smiling…
As Mikasa wiped her mouth, she thought about her facial expressions.
******
It's true…I feel like I rarely laugh out loud, too, but…
It was after lights out now, but Mikasa's mind continued to be occupied with what just happened as she stared at the ceiling.
When did that start…?
While it never got in the way of her training, there did seem to be something different about it now that it had been specifically pointed out. You could simply call it being asocial if you wanted to, but Mikasa had never thought of herself in that Wai.
I feel like…I was different as a child…
With her mind tired and unfocused from training, she muttered the following and closed her eyes.
"…When…did I smile…?"
******
"Mikasa. Help out with the vegetable harvest, okay?"
Mom!
The bright sky stretched to the horizon. Mikasa knew immediately that she was a child because of her low vantage point. The young Mikasa wore a straw hat and a dress.
She heard a nostalgic voice call out to her.
"Look what I got. We're having poultry tonight."
"That's amazing, Ackerman."
My father, and…Mr. Yeager?
She was at home with her parents, but when she saw the people whose care she would later come under, Mikasa felt that something was strange.
"Hey, Eren! You just nibbled on dinner, didn't you!"
"Ow! Why would you hit me over that?"
Eren! And Mrs. Yeager, too.
Mikasa found it even more strange when she looked back toward the fields, but it was a joyful sight nevertheless. The people who loved and cared for her were living their regular lives.
"Heh heh… I think it's fine, it shows he's an energetic boy."
"Hehe…"
Her father's laughter was contagious, and Mikasa found a laugh coming from her mouth, too.
"What's your problem, Mikasa? Why are you laughing when people are getting mad at me?!"
"Hehehehe… Well, it's just…!"
A broad smile appeared on the face of the pure girl as she laughed with everyone, still ignorant of the smell of blood and the cruelty of the world.
It'd just that my whole family is here!
******
"…Hey, get someone who's good at drawing, we need a portrait of this."
"Really, Ymir? Mikasa's right in the middle of having a nice dream. There's still some time before we have to get up, so just leave her alone."
Mikasa slight grin was visible on her sleeping face. The others looked on in surprise as they whispered to one another.
"That must be a really nice dream. Maybe it's about meat."
"She's not you, Sasha."
"But that's the kind of expression anyone would have when they see their favorite thing, right?"
"Her favorite thing, huh… I wonder what that might be."
The answer to that question could only be found in the girl's dreams and her heart. As the sun's rays began to make their way into the barracks, they slowly began to wipe away her brief, blissful fantasy.

*SPOILERS*
I know Yams talked about wanting to have this metaphor in the story about the younger generation taking over for the older one, BUT DID HE REALLY HAVE TO KILL OFF ALMOST EVERY NON-TEEN CHARACTER?!?
