Series 2, Episode 3 rewatch!
Well this week probably went the worst way it possibly could've. God knows how many braincells I used trying to explain to certain people that an orange felon who has no morals to speak of should not be the president of a book club (not that he reads I expect), let alone the United States of America. But then I guess that's part of the reason we watch shows like Downton isn't it? To escape to a different time, even if it wasn't much better than our own (except for the fashion, that was the best thing ever). Anyways, lets start on this weeks episode!
I love Isobel, but she is rather bossy sometimes
Yes because mixing ranks is so dreadful!
Oh Daisy dear
MR BATES!! Using his ninja skills I see
Oh poor Anna
Yay for Sybil! Girlbossing since 1895
Oo first curling iron sighting (and only I believe)
Dear Anna, she clearly thinks she's going mad
Love how Mary just wants Anna to be happy
Rosamund's house is quite something and I'm here for it
Oh poor Mr Lang
Dear Mrs Patmore, she was clearly very close to her nephew
Plotting in the courtyard again I see
Yes I don't think many people are truly in favour of that plan Doctor/Major Clarkson
Then why don't you tell Cora now Robert?
Well about that Mr Branson
Oh Mrs Patmore! I just want to give her a hug
I wouldn't be testing Carson's limits if I were you Thomas
I love that shot of them all walking out of the house, a united front to the unknown
Ugh Major Bryant
Oh Anna, always the sensible one
Matthew!
Now how many times does Julian Fellowes use a very similar 'moral high ground' quip?
Don't push the limits, Isobel
Ahh dear Evelyn!
One of the good things Sir Richard Carlisle did was help Mary locate Mr Bates
Ooo a heart murmur
Good on Edith, helping everyone out
Oh Ethel, Major Bryant is a disgusting excuse for a human
Ooo Anna, whatever are you planning?
Yes Mr Bates! Am I glad to see you! (and I think Anna is as well)
Love Rosamund's hat game
Rosamund love's a good bit of drama
Oh Anna dear
Yes he loves her!!!
No footmen? Whatever will Carson do?
Aww, Captain Smiley was such a sweet guy
Oh dear Mr Lang, life was so terribly unfair to him, as it was to many of the men in the war
I love these moments where everyone is lined up outside and the theme music plays in the background
William dear!
Oh Mrs Patmore
Oh Mr Branson, whatever are you up to?
Go Anna!
Murder? Goodness gracious!
Then why'd you write such an incriminating note?
Ugh
Yay William!
Yay Edith!
Isobel is practically seething!
Lavinia is an utter sweetheart, so hard done by
Oh William
Poor Daisy
Wait how is Rosamund's hair all upright like that?
Oh Mr Lang
Oh Robert
