We NEED a Mr. Lich backstory. Like, he was the sidekick to the Sphinx who went around and backstabbed him. All this action and plot came from him, yet we know next to nothing about him.
thoughts on the obsidian waste preserve in SotDS
my memory may be a bit foggy but there was a woman who helped the gang at obsidian waste when her house was taken over by those blixes. i think she lost her nephews or neices or something like that when she helped them tho? and she ended up being controlled by mr lich when she died. honestly poor her tho. i dont know if we get confirmation that they killed her family when she disobeyed but she took her job seriously as caretaker by helping them and potentially sacrificing her family. but another thing to wonder is if the sphinx would actually kill her family afterwards. the family didnt hold enough sway over the caretaker to stop her from doing her job so killing her family would be more of an act of cruelty or revenge maybe? and the sphinx kinda just does what he must and no more no less. so there shouldnt have really been a point in killing her family other than to hurt her or make a point and that would be unecessary so did he actually do it? but maybe the sphinx doesnt oversee all matters. he may have left mr lich and the narcoblix over the matters at obsidian waste and they may have killed the caretaker’s family.
also the girl that betrayed them? camira i think. thats also odd to think about because berrigan was loyal and she wasnt even tho they were brother and sister. and she even let berrigan get taken over by a narcoblix! yeesh. low key wanna know why she did what she did and how her and her brother turned out so different.
