These movies teach a lot about being a mother. You can never go too far to protect your kid, no matter what happens... and the the kids' will always be safe

Dark Shadows Episode 1 Thoughts

In our first episode, our protagonist Victoria Winters rides a train to Collinsport for a job as the rich Elizabeth Stoddard’s governess. Elizabeth’s asshole brother Roger, questions this arrangement, as does almost everyone Vicki meets. She warned, first by an old lady on the train, then by a man named Burke Devlin, and then a waitress named Maggie Evans not to go to Collinsport, but she insists on going to find out about her mysterious past. Meanwhile, Burke Devlin goes to the bar “The Blue Whale” for info on the Collins family, and finds out that Elizabeth hasn’t left her home, Collinswoods, in years, and the episode ends with Victoria arriving at Collinswoods.

The show is good at building intrigue, can’t wait to find out what Elizabeth knows about Victoria’s parents.

Loved the gothic atmosphere.

Overall a good first episode.

Needs more Maggie.
