We got a lot of Peter, Norman, and the 4 Lords. But what is Venom, Eddie, Ms. Chen, and the crew doing?

Oh yeah those guys! We can’t forget about Team Venom! It’s almost like any other mission for them, (except for a few things.)

Well most of the team are giving Eddie shit for not telling Peter or his friends beforehand that someone was after them on their trip. Ms. Chen and Venom are the most verbal about that screw-up.

But the rest of the time they are gathering intel and getting rid of the lycan-lizard hybrids that get in the way (don’t worry, those guys aren’t anyone we’d know... unless they happened to be certain forgettable antagonists/annoying characters from the MCU).

And as they gradually pick stuff up, it does gradually turn into a mission to not just save the friends, but to save any of the villagers that were trapped/imprisoned/hadn’t mutated. In addition to figuring out what the hell is going on.

I don’t think Ms. Chen would be fighting/shooting as much... but she does get to shoot some things, because we need to let her be the badass we know she is.

(I know another member of the team besides the duo is LGBTQ, but I don’t know anything else about them just yet. Unless Ms. Chen is also LGBTQ according to Venom lore and I missed that fact.)

I think in keeping with canon, Eddie and Venom would cross paths with Peter in Curt’s domain and that’s when Eddie finally admits that Norman was showing an interest in Peter specifically and that he was responsible for kidnapping MJ and Ned (but he doesn’t know how exactly Norman was hiding himself, despite being aware of what he’s capable of). But of course shit happens and they get separated.

Also unlike in canon, Eddie and Venom don’t show up in the fourth area or are able to give help to Peter at the time (we need time with octo-dad, though we do appreciate the symbiote-uncles showing concern). But they do try to get to Peter after the fight with mutated!Otto, but by then Peter’s already taken by Father Norman. Which leads to Eddie beating himself up for not telling Peter his and Venom’s suspicions as to WHY Norman was so interested in him in the first place. To which Venom admits that he should have said something too and “Now the boy is going to turn into a moldy hellspawn if we don’t get our shit together and keep moving.”

And then of course the AU gets a version of the one man army against the lycans. Though Venom is.... REALLY trigger happy and the team realizes its a huge mistake to let him get anywhere near a bazooka or explosives. (Actually I think it would be funny if Venom is the one to blow up the megamycte. He’d survive in that case).

Also Eddie and Venom would get to fight one of the Odinson brothers (Haven’t decided who Peter gets to face first yet) who is protecting the megamycte.

And since symbrock IS canon in this AU, those two would show affection with each other a few times (I’m digging the idea of them flirting during a fight).

(I don’t know if this AU would have this AU’s equivalent to the BSAA at the village during this time because it would likely complicate things further than necessary.)

Oh, and there’s a chocolate stash with them at all times. We can’t go without chocolate.

I went to go see Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings today. Great film! Liked the fight scenes, special effects and the character interactions.

Though I have to admit, I was completely engrossed during the part of the story that took place in San Francisco. Mostly because it shares the same environment setting as the Venom movies.

I kept glancing around the background of the San Francisco scenes to see if there was any kind of nod to Venom because I’m really excited about the second movie coming out and was happy to see the familiar setting. The only possible mention of a link to Venom that I noticed was a name.

Chen.

When Shang-Chi goes to pick up Katy for the day, he knocks on the door to her family’s home and greets Katy’s mom with,

“Hi, Mrs. Chen” ( I freak out a little and kinda think I heard wrong)

During the family visit, Katy’s mom asks her brother something like, “Arn’t you going to help your aunt to restock the shop?” (And I immediately think they’re talking about Ms. Chen from Venom)

I mean, I could be wrong, and just have a serious case of wishful thinking, but I wonder if Katy’s family is related to the Ms. Chen from the Venom movies.

And if Katy’s brother does help out Ms. Chen at her bodega, could this actually be him in the second Venom movie?

When does Ms Chen meet Peter and what does she think of him as well as the fact that Eddie and Venom had a kid?

She meets him pretty soon after he’s born because they need like new formula or something and don’t want to leave Peter alone while they get it. 

Honestly at first she probably thinks they kidnapped a baby, especially considering how still kind of panicky they are about everything to do with Peter they are. Then it’s just pure confusion when they try and explain that no Peter is actually theirs because like… Eddie had a baby with his parasite and the baby looks almost completely human? They’re going to send her into an early grave just because of putting up with their bullshit. 

Peter is a cute kid though so you know she’s fond of him just… his parents are crazy. So she’s constantly just subtly giving them advice whenever they come in because she’s convinced they’ll accidentally kill him.

Stitches walks into the store

"Hello misses chen" stitches says.

"You look like shit stitches" misses Chen says.

"And you look as beautiful as ever" stitches says as he grabs some items off the shelf.

"Have you been doing the yoga"

"No I got the video of your cousin and doesn't work" stitches says.

"It doesn't work because you don't give a chance you dala" misses Chen says

"You see right there I don't understand what you said. *stitches walks to a place in the store as a police detective walks in

"give me your strongest whiskey and your fanciest cup" rosa says.

"You know a guy is here who I think you'd like" Misses Chen says.

"Alright, i got a pack of cigarettes and a half gallon of milk here's the 34 credits " stitches says.

"Who are you" rosa says.

"I'm arc trooper stitches of the 501st who are you" stitches says.

"I'm detective Rebecca Dali of the 54th precinct of corusant" rosa says

"Well you look amazing" stitches says.

"Maybe I'll go by the 501st barracks and talk to you" rosa says as she walks out.

(Sorry I haven't posted anything I've been moving to a new house so I haven't had time to post anything)
