PAULINE FUCKING FLEMING. OH MY GOOODDDDD THE BEEF I HAVE WITH THAT WOMAN IS UNIMAGINABLE! I love her and run a rp blog of her but FUCK YOU PAULINEEEEE.

During Beautiful, when we’re first introduced to the Heathers beyond just names, they’re all in the bathroom because Heather Duke is LITERALLY PURGING. You can hear her vomiting, and it’s ACKNOWLEDGED that she is bulimic. A guidance counselor would normally address this, but PAULINE is more worried about the fact that the three of them are late for class. Like she literally hears Duke vomiting and does. Nothing. What the fuck.

She doesn’t really do much wrong during The Me Inside Of Me tbh. I mean sharing around the suicide note is questionable but it’s not the worst thing this woman has done.

Before Shine A Light, Martha is SUFFERING okay. Girly does NOT wanna be in that assembly, and she EXPLAINS THAT! SHE IS NOT HAVING A GOOD DAY! Does Ms. Fleming care? NO. IN FACT, SHE MADE PARTICIPATION IN THE ASSEMBLY COUNT TOWARD A VERY LARGE PERCENTAGE OF STUDENTS GRADES! WHAT THE FUCK.

After Shine A Light, when Ms. Fleming invites students to talk about how they’re feeling, she looks DIRECTLY AT MARTHA, AND CHOOSES TO IGNORE HER ENTIRELY EVEN THOUGH THE POOR GIRLS HAND WAS RAISED. Obviously this is likely for the best, especially because of how people reacted to Heather McNamara, but the idea of it still stands.

Also like. You’d think a guidance counselor would catch on to the fact that J.D. isn’t exactly okay but nooooo.. noo Fleming is too busy tie-dyeing shirts and making everything smell like patchouli and flowers.

I’ll bet you she has some corny ass self confidence posters in her office and probably says shit like “if you think positively you’ll have a good day”. Motherfucker probably buys crystals every time she wants to die (/ref)

The adults in Heathers don’t care about the youth unless they gain something from it. And yes I’m aware this is something that’s talked about a lot, but I don’t think people realize just how insane it is, probably because it’s a real world issue that people are slowly becoming blind to.
