a comic on megatron after the events of transformers prime: predacons rising. for some bonus overthinking notes on this comic: "feel less than know" infers on how megatron doesn't look back at the sparks exploding in the back or what happens at the well of allsparks to confirm optimus' death; he just feels it. feels that optimus is gone. and he doesn't go back to confirm it ("I will not look for traces of you.")

the roads no longer remember their history because cybertron is in absolute ruins as a result of their civil war, only they remember their shared history because everything that resembled or had traces of the history be it in the old places they visited or buildings, has been completely destroyed. and only megatron is left to retrace them and reminisce but he states that he doesn't want optimus by his side. if he truly doesn't or is trying to lie to himself can be up to interpretation. the last panel has megatron finally out of bounds of the panels themselves; he is free because for once he doesn't long for optimus in choosing to mourn him. because for the longest time megatron has always been driven by this sense of chasing optimus.

i personally do interpret this ending as a hopeful and optimistic one for megatron, but of course you can take it in however you'd like and tell me about it^^ this is just my own take on megatron's feelings post-predacons rising; particularly with not only the last of his feelings being obsessed with optimus that had driven him but also other things that had controlled him. the council. unicron. he is no longer shackled by them, for once he isn't fighting against anything and he's all on his own.

I was listening to ''The Doll People'' by SOFIA ISELLA , a haunting and slightly creepy song about being abused, in it, the singer adopts a dirty look, unwashed hair, dirty face, 'ragged' clothing, it's a way to protest against the fetishization of women, because looking 'clean', as in ''clean girl make up'', which needs tons of hard work and skills is a male's preference, and at the end of the day men would say ''she's natural, she has no make up on, she's wife material'', as if women clean up themselves just to look wifey...

Anyway, the song reminded me of Armand's dirty looks with the Children of Darkness, the guy can be clean if he wants to (look at his appearances from 1940s up to 2022), which tells me that cleanliness is more of a choice to him, vampires don't need to fear bacteria, they do not need to look clean to lure their prey... all to say, Armand had chosen to look dirty with the Children of Darkness, it could be a coping way after what happens with his maker, does he do it consciously, I wonder, we know that a part of his early life/abuse happens when his face is being looked at, so maybe the dirty look is just an optional shield, not from possible harm.

It could also be about how he looks at his own face, this point interests me, because we now know that his fledgling has his eyes, he wouldn't have a reason as to not like his vampire eyes looking back at him, right? They shouldn't remind him of his victim days, right? This all raises a contradiction tbh, and so which is it, why did he up and leave Daniel, the angry old man who hates his guts, his first fledgling, if he had really turned him out of spite only, why should he care not to look at eyes that remind him of how he doesn't like himself...
