this duo specifically reminds me of when you have social anxiety but your friend is even more nervous, so you overcome your anxiety for a second to be social for them
reference to this moment from the poison rot stream
my playstyle is a bit all over the place so i did change stuff around a lot. But i found that this combination of crest and tools fits the best for me.
Crest: i tried so hard to use other crests during my playthrough but the Hunter Crest was calling to me like the green goblin mask. While some people don't like the pogo, i found that you get the hang of it a couple of hours in. Don't get me started on the upgrades we get from Eva... they're just too good!!
Tools: The Red tools are the most simple stuff i could get. Straight Pins and Tacks for quick n easy damage and Cross Stitch for avoiding damage and hitting hard at the same time. Blue and Yellow tools are selected to make the build balanced in the aspects i want and to serve for both general exploration and combat. All my blue and yellow tools fit in either mobility, offense or defense (with the exception of Weavelight, which is multipurpose). You can really tell that my favorite HK charms were Unbreakable Strength, Steady Body and Shaman Stone, huh?
so while i really love silksong with all my heart, i am terrible at games on my first try. My playstyle always consists of throwing myself into an boss arena or guantlet and getting my ass kicked an embarrassing amount of times until i get the muscle memory to finish a fight. This meant that i had to use the red tools that used the least amount of shell shards (so i got used to those). It was also the best opportunity to write down what i got up to in my first run!
this means that i have written down how many times i got destroyed by the goddamn Savage Beastflies and Lost Lace. which is. a fucking lot. like a third part of my deaths are due just to these 3 bosses. and my death counter isn't little
anyways, thanks goose for that awesome post, love your art!!!
