I really like Game Theory, but what has happened to them and 50 other YouTube channels is abysmal. I don’t like Smosh, or Clevver Media, but that couldn’t not possibly matter any less right now. These people - and keep in mind some of these channels have dozens of employees - have collectively had over a million dollars of their rightfully earned money stolen by thieves, liars and scammers. Hello! I only just heard of this myself but I really love MatPat’s (and other affected creators’) stuff and this is pretty upsetting. It’s a long video but well worth it. Not that it’ll be happy but...damn.

If you ever have considered or are currently looking to sell your channel to an MCN I HIGHLY recommend you watch this video. I listed the key points he made at the end of the video down below but you should watch it all

MCN (Multi-Channel Network) How to work with them (MatPat's Guide)

1: Do NOT accept less then 100% Pass-Through. The money belongs to you and if they don't accept wait until you grow more and have more negotiation power

2: Ensure your AdSense is in a SEPARATE TRUST ACCOUNT. Make sure it's away from the companies funds and is solely there to pay out creators

3: Make sure you have an 'Out' clause. Make sure you can leave immediately.

4: Put in penalties for late or missed payments.
