Week 2 of #marchmeetthemaker starting off with 'Work In Progress' This is what I'm working on at the moment - it will eventually be a multi-block lino print of a bag of Nishiki rice. Two of the blocks are ready, one is underway and the last one has yet to be started. You may be wondering why I have wasted so much space on each block..I am using the Japanese method of registration called 'kento' (see next image) where the paper is aligned to a carved out corner for each block. I will likely cut up and re-use these lino blocks once I have printed enough of this design.
