USING NAMES FROM CULTURES YOU AREN'T PART OF IS FINE!!! SO LONG AS: the culture is open, you do research on the culture's naming system, and do research on the specific name's meaning, origins, and cultural significance

If the name is very culturally significant and used for like... idk, random imaginary example: royalty only or something... DON'T USE IT. But otherwise— and so long as you're following the guidelines above— literally do WHATEVER YOU WANT. NO ONE CARES

I am BEGGING people to learn what cultural appropriation actually is. This is cultural APPRECIATION, not appropriation

ALSO. Because I see this in particular alot: JAPANESE IS NOT A CLOSED CULTURE (afaik). Maybe historically, but not anymore. But again, follow the guidelines above if you wanna use a Japanese name, just like you should with any name from any culture you aren't a part of

I know this is like an age old discussion in system spaces, but if I see one more minor in a syscord say "we have an introject from an anime and we don't want to 'appropriate' so they 'need' a new name" I might tweak out. Like it's fine if the introject genuinely just wants a new name but I promise they don't NEED one unless you've done no research into their original name at all

I think endos need to learn that dissociation ≠ multiplicity and that their dissociative experiences are real, but not multiplicity. Dissociation without multiplicity can mimick multiplicity.

don't share your triggers online (+ dont put them in pluralkit. pluralkit is not private unless you individually set every single member as private)

endos dont exist - it contradicts the entire meaning of what a system even is and how it develops! your experiences most likely are not "endogenic systemhood".

its extremely weird to me that a few months ago there was a whole awareness campaign informing people in alterhuman communities that mutt is a slur against mixed race people and to not use that word as a descriptor/pronoun/etc if you are not mixed race... and now all of a sudden theres swarms of people plastering that exact slur all over their profiles...

if youre talking about dogs you can literally just say "mixed breed" btw you dont Have to use a slur knowing damn well what the history behind it is. there are alternatives (canine, hound, [breed]-mix) you do not Have to use a slur you cant reclaim as a descriptor. its not that hard to listen to poc when they say something is offensive, it really isnt
