I wouldn't say I have not mentioned this before but it definitely has not been explored (or even really mentioned in threads perhaps for very fleeting moments, haha) - but by default, Melissa does not know how to drive any sort of vehicle and she also does not know how to swim.

These two things feel like huge handicaps for her - the obvious reasons behind these deficiencies, so to say, is the fact that she was brought up entirely in the slums, where she had no option to even learn how to do any of these things (or even the financial means). Now she has the money - but rarely the opportunity. If she needs to be somewhere she will take the chocobo carriages / call for a cab or just get a lift, as for swimming... It doesn't really come up enough in her daily life.

For all purposes, despite being in her late 30s, Melissa would need very patient instructors for both things, because she's been kept away from both activities for so long that I am sure she will panic if she's just, you know, thrown into a deep pool or left alone with a car. :)

11. What made you start wanting to roleplay?

The interactive aspect! I always wrote a lot of fanfiction (arguably much less in the recent years) and I both liked creating my own story but I also love reading other people's works and getting that nice rush of excitement due to a chapter update or something - and roleplay gives me both!

This chance to make something of your own and yet get the butterflies in your stomach when your partner replies is just so satisfying! I absolutely love this shared aspect of the thing - and I get it can be frustrating sometimes when interests don't align, but I like meeting people, discussing ideas, fangirling over stuff I like and roleplay is a healthy way to combine everything as long as everyone is having fun!

12. Are there any characters you're interested in wanting to roleplay as?

Lately I feel I've been adding all these verses for Melissa instead of picking up new muses because I've found out I'm terrible at managing multiple blogs and/or muses. XD But I did feel like picking up some muses - weirdly enough, I wrote much more male muses before, but the last few years I found my focus more on female muses in general.

As examples - I've recently been drawn to Shadow and Bone's Nina, Yakuza Kiwami 2's Kaoru Sayama, and Snowpiercer's Melanie. What I did instead was creating AUs for these games/shows, haha.

18. What's the one thing you want to try the most on your blog?

Recently I've been wanting to write a 3-way thread or to further expand on a shared verse? We once collaborated on a super big medieval AU which was insanely fun because we established a lot of connections that we referenced in each other's threads and I love that sort of collaborative building.

So I love doing stuff like that wedding ask where Lottie's Scarlet saves the day and in my mind the Reeve I mentioned there was yours and Heidegger was Han's one. 8) Or just include these tiny mentions to other characters that I've seen interacting before with my mutuals and just create a real 'universe'.

Hmmm. I don't know if I've been around tumblr RPC long enough to see a lot of trends dying because I started out in 2016 (at least in the English/international version of it, I guess). But I guess I miss some of the flexibility/simplicity? When I returned to tumblr in 2020 after leaving in 2018, people had stopped answering asks directly because it messed up with the formatting, for example.

Now, I completely get the need to make your blog look good - I try to be as consistent as I can with mine too and it gives everyone a good feeling to look at something pretty. But I feel the intense focus on aesthetics and formatting turned into a much bigger deal than it used to be in my view, and sometimes I feel that is one of the key things taken into consideration before the content is analyzed.

And, as someone who doesn't do fancy tags, cannot edit images (hell, I've always been iconless precisely because of this) and overall keeps a very basic theme - there is always a tiny little voice at the back of my head telling that I might 'not be good enough' for some people solely because of the way my blog looks, overlooking the writing in itself completely (and I'll always be struggling with the fact I'm not a native English speaker, so sometimes that voice will grow louder and attempt to make me believe even my writing is not good enough).

I apologize for the salty post - but, in summary - bring simplicity back! I've lately seen a lot of blog rules stating that they're happy to format their posts for a better experience of the other person and outright saying they do not care for icons or not, etc - and it feels like a step in the right direction for me. :)

Are there any fandom(s) you avoid roleplaying in?

Not really! I've not been a part of many communities but for the FF one (mostly VII, XII and XV) and I never really had a traumatic experience? Sure, there were a couple of moments where some weird or uncomfortable situations happened, but I don't feel like it has tainted or destroyed a particular experience for me. And outside of the FF community, I can't really say how things are - so for the moment, anything goes!

Who was your first muse?

Also answered here in a way that lowkey confirms how old I am (I genuinely don't think there's a fandom for that show, even!). But for tumblr purposes, to further expand on this for a bit, my first muse was actually Alaric Saltzman from The Vampire Diaries (I love Ric so much, TO THIS DAY, even if I gave up on the show) and then a bunch of OCs in the Brazilian RPC before disappearing and only returning here in 2016 with Vincent Valentine. :)

Answered here in more detail, but the short answer is - give me a plot idea or a story to work with. :D I want to share the story with the other mun and not write everything by myself (that's the joy of roleplaying, right?).
