You thought it was just pixels and background music?
This is Chara. These are the red eyes staring straight through the screen.
This isn't a monster.
It's you.
You hit “Attack.” You kept going.
You are the decision.
I am the consequence.
This specific line of dialog isn't in red like with most of Chara's text I wonder why, because of this singular case of the text not being colored I will now view this as Frisk themself saying it.
Did I put the most effort into my Bad Times route drawing? Well, yeah, it’s actually my favorite route. And I do enjoy a good evil!Madoka AU, haha. I wonder what drove her down this path here?
I knew I wanted The Ribbons text be a Rebellion reference, but that does all kinds of weird things to the story. In this crossover universe, did Chara/Homura know Frisk/Madoka beforehand? Or are they confusing Frisk/Madoka with Asriel somehow?
The latter seems like a fun idea to play with. Presumably, this route’s Homura refused to believe Flowey was her former best friend, and projected that onto Madoka in a dark mirror to Flowey in the other routes.
More really old art!! I’m pretty sure this is like 2 years old now but I’m trying to get more into undertale again so I wanna do more art for my boys and girls <3
Especially sad murder route art like yes it kills me but I live for it
...It occurs to me that I've never actually explained why my Magireco in-game username is Chara, have I? Yes, it's an Undertale reference, even though I haven't been following the Undertale fandom for years now.
One possible interpretation of Undertale's All Murder All The Time route is that Chara represents (or has awakened to become) the in-game counterpart to the player for any game, particularly RPGs. They're your Dragonborn rampaging through Skyrim, or your Link cutting down Hyrule's monsters without a second thought. And once you've tired of Undertale, they'll move on to perform the same heartless function in your next game, too. That's what it means to "erase this pointless world, and move on to the next."
...Unfortunately for my Chara, I don't play a whole lot of violent games. So I guess after mercilessly slaughtering the residents of the Underground, Chara took a chill vacation to Alola and then wound up trapped in the body of a tiny Kyuubey.
Maybe Hinamizawa will be a more fitting playground for them?
