I don't think martha ever outright says that murderbot smiles (usually just "my face made an expression" type thing) but the way alex plays those smiles in the show oh my god it's perfect. it's subtle yet impactful, while also being infrequent enough to still be in character. and it's so so rewarding and beautiful to see after everything murderbot has been through this season.

OK, so I don't love everything that the show added to make the late 8 pages of the novella take 40 minutes, but the Sanctuary Moon payoff is A++.
Also the callback to Gurathin being the one to figure out what "check the perimeter" means.
Oh, and Mensah explaining how, in time, and with their help, SecUnit could learn to do anything it wanted, was pitch-perfect. She is being completely sincere! She has no idea how condescending it comes across, if you shift the angle just a tiny bit! She would be horrified if she did know!
Again, please.
Okay how are we feeling about the murderbot finale?
Cause I am hyped! Just it was so good, I love how they tied it all up and that it ended just like the books and they kept the whole, this-is-a-message for-dr-mensah part and yeah I just think it’s neat :)
