Liam was incredibly calm, even if he had just shot a man in his pub. It wasn’t the first nor the last time he would do such thing. His empire grew because he had never been afraid to get his hands dirty. This time, however, it wasn’t a matter of business, it was a matter of protecting his staff. Only a fucking idiot would come into his pub, make a scene and threaten his staff. It didn’t help that he had kept a close eye on Cora ever since she set foot in his pub, but still. He asked the man to leave, he refused, he asked again, the man refused and well... he wasn’t going to ask a third time, so he simply shot him.
He opened the door of his apartment and let Cora in first. She said that she didn’t want to be alone and he told her she could stay at his place. He closed the door behind them and tossed the keys into a small table near the door. “Are you hungry or thirsty?” He asked. His tone wasn’t warm or affectionate since it hardly ever was, but he was just a bit worried.
