As he squirmed in his seat, Eddie briefly considered just quitting again to save himself the shame. 

“So, someone filed a grievance against the two of you.” Bobby said, cutting the silence. 

“What for, Cap?” Buck asked, the picture of innocence. Eddie chose to keep his mouth shut, letting Buck take point. If anyone could talk them out of this mess, it’d be Buck. 

“That’s what you’re going with?” Bobby asked rhetorically, not waiting for a reply before he held up the paper in front of him, “The complaining party says you two were ‘making out like teenagers in the engine’.”

Eddie cringed, as Buck leaned back with a smirk. 

“At least I didn’t steal it this time.”

I am living for how reckless Pike is gonna be with his safety this season lol.

Welp, can't die till I'm promoted. Might as well go on more dangerous away missions, touch the ominous giant space egg, take unsanctioned expeditions into non-federation space, and get punched in the face by aliens!!

Then, of course it's gonna come back to bite him in the worst possible way. Maybe a few member worried for his safety will be killed trying to rescue him or smth and we get more of that sweet sweet angst.
