This is my fan character for the video game series Psychonauts.
Name: Celeste Darkthorn (formally Celeste Apergale)
Type of psychic: Zealot aka one of the most powerful type of psychic’s in the world!
Personalty: Kindhearted ,optimistic,fun loving,enthusiastic,caring ,daydreamer,brave.
Parents: Former Parents Mr and Mrs Apergale deceased) Adoptive Parents Mr and Mrs Darkthorn
Siblings: Adoptive brother Victor Darkthorn
Friends: Dr Caligosto loboto (secret crush), Razputin Aquato,Lilli Zanotto ,Victor Darkthorn,Ickis ,Dogen Boole,Sasha Nein Milla Vodello sometimes Coach Oleander and the other campers.
Enemies: The Psi cult,Crispin,Bobby Zilch and his friends,The nightmares.
Love interests: Dr Caligosto loboto
Pets: Ickis an alien like lizard creature with psychic powers that she befriended from institute.
Biography: When Celeste was born she was born with psychic abilities which she was able to use even when she was a baby. She started to use her powers when she got home from the hospital which shocked her parents as they never seen a psychic before, unafraid and full of wonder they loved their daughter for whatever she was even if she made the house fly in the air they’d be happy and proud.
When she was 5 years old she and her parents moved to a new house that was in the outskirts of a town called “Shaky Claim” before it was flooded years later. There she befriended a boy named Caligosto loboto whom she nicknamed “Cali” for short who lived with his parents at a house that was not that far away from her house. She soon discovers that he was a psychic also and also discovered unlike her parents his parents didn’t understand him and they were afraid of him. Feeling protective and sensing his loneliness Celeste became Cali’s best and only friend and decided to make a promise that they would always be there for each other.
Celeste and Cali would play everyday helping each other with they’re psychic abilities at an old play park that had been abandoned that they found not that long after they met. For years they would practice and play pirates on the old wooden pirate ship that was there.Over time Celeste learned how to use telepathy which she used to communicate with Cali without his parents overhearing. Whenever he was alone in his bedroom they would talk for hours and even played games however one day she soon later found out to how fearful and not understanding Cali’s parents were, whenever his parents came into his room wondering who he was talking to she could sense the sadness and fear in Cali.His parents saw him as a freak of nature to the point where they even question if he was really their son,because of this they often break out into arguments which cause Cali to hide or leave the house and go off to find a place to be alone.
However after meeting Celeste and her family Cali almost always tried to visit and stay with them for as long as he as he could.Unlike his own parents Celeste’s parents were kind and accepting of his gifts and treated him the same way they treated their daughter with love and kindness.If he was hungry they would ask him to stay for dinner if he was allowed and if it was late they would offer him to stay for the night which pleased their daughter to the point where she begs them that Cali slept in her room.Cali felt happy being at Celeste’s rather than with his parents he felt more safe and accepted and more importantly he felt loved.
A couple of years had past, Celeste and Cali were the most closest of friends to where they’re psyches were linked to help them communicate.This helped Cali a lot since he had regular visits to the hospital where the doctors would examine him to find out what was wrong with him due to his parents becoming desperate.
One day Celeste was going over to Cali’s to see if he wanted to sleep over however when she got to his house there was a white van parked at the driveway of the van it said “Thorney Towers for the mentally disturbed” she then saw dear friend being dragged out of the house by two big men and a doctor of some sorts while his parents just stood at the doorway waving goodbye as their son screamed while trying to escape. As the men shoved the boy into the van Cali looked out through the window tears in his eyes he spots Celeste with confusion in her eyes he telepathically tells her what’s going to happen to him then starts banging on the van door screaming for help.Celeste starts running after the van as it drives away she tries using her psychic powers but she was not strong enough tired from running she loses track of the van she did not know that this was the last time she saw her best friend for a long time.
When she got back home she was in emotional distress because of this it was cause her powers to go haywire her worried parents didn’t realise but she was mentally linked to Cali’s mind and she could feel what was happening.She sensed that the doctors were about to remove his psychic abilities and mentally damaging his mind forever.when the doctors severed the mental connection her powers backfired creating a psi blast explosion that destroyed her house and killing her parents in the process.
Over the years when she was mentally stable again she was adopted by friends of her parents the Darkthorn family where she grew up with their son Victor who was also a psychic,they lived happily together until Celeste and Victor were kidnapped by the institute.
