Kelemvor and Rhaine, his beloved Chosen. Here they are enjoying a rare moment of peace together, the former as his divine self. Avatar Variant: www.deviantart.com/auriv1/art/… For context, Rhaine Alcinea is my half-elven paladin, favored soul, Doomguide, and Chosen of Kelemvor, Forgotten Realms god of the dead. Over the past several years, a small ship has gradually been built around these two, and that ship has finally set sail, manned by a small but faithful crew.  I am slowly writing a couple of fanfics that detail the (very) slow growth of their relationship. AU, of course, but I only deal in 3.5e Realms anyway, sooooo...

Kelemvor's mask is based on his appearance in Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer. Everything else is artistic interpretation.

Well, it's been five years since I've drawn my most beloved FR D&D character, so I decided to finally revisit her. Meet the new and improved Rhaine Alcinea - paladin, favored soul, Doomguide, and Chosen of Kelemvor, Forgotten Realms god of the dead. Rhaine was originally my Neverwinter Nights 2 campaign character, but has grown far beyond the game and has since been used in RPs and fanfictions.

I am currently working on updating and refining her backstory fanfiction on Ao3.

Name: Azrael Gaunt Race: Human Alignment: Lawful Neutral Class: Cleric Strength: 15 Dexterity: 8 Constitution: 13 Intelligence: 10 Wisdom: 16 Charisma: 12 Azrael Gaunt was raised with his brother, Abaddon, by their father in a temple to a god of death. They were raised to hunt undead and destroy their foul presence.  However, when their father chose Azrael to be his successor and gave him the family sword Abaddon became jealous and struck down their father.  He tried to kill Azrael but failed.  Now a fully fledged Cleric, Azrael seeks to end his brother’s life for the evil he has caused as well as kill any evil Undead in the world.

Basically I just wanna be a rl cleric of Kelemvor, like The closest real world equivalents are... working in hospice (hey I already do that? sort of?), the funeral industry, or as like a death doula (which is BASICALLY A DOOMGUIDE only there's usually a religious bent to it and I am nn ot?? ?) But if I could combine the above with the conscientious tending of cemeteries then that would literally be my dream job. I mean just add an altar to chthonic deities and I am all there.
