does anyone else ever get slightly teary eyed at what a good guy the og, ash ketchum himself, is? constantly took in abused and 'difficult' pokemon at risk to himself. wouldn't hesitate to climb the prism tower for a pokemon he didnt know, and throw himself off for one he loved. just. so inherently good he restores multiple legendaries and pokemons faith in humanity itself. no matter what iteration, he never stops trying to save the world and the people in it. wouldnt know the concept of greater good if you hit him over the head with it- every little bit counts. just.... i can think of few better role models for kids tbh. he's taught so many never ever give up on your dreams. but also to never stop being kind.
