I wanna talk about this cause it’s been on my mind for a while. So maybe it’s just me cause I don’t really understand the series, but it’s never really explained what Fred is (unless it is and I’m dumb) the only thing we know is that Fred is apart of Freddy and nothing more.

So specifically for my au/personal interpretation. Shadows (what Fred is) are parasites that attach to their reality counterparts and can play off of their host mental illnesses, insecurities and/or traumas. For example Freddy has schizophrenia, even without Fred, Freddy would have schizophrenia. Fred just plays off it like another hallucination.

Although Freddy isn’t the only one with a shadow in my universe. Joy and Deuz also have one, but joy’s is based of her perfectionism and insecurities. While Deuz is based of his abandonment issues and trauma’s.

my personal interpretation of how killer would act if wounded is hard to describe but I’ll try my hardest.

i feel like killer would be like an injured wild and or feral animal. despite needing help, he will attack anyone who comes close (if in stage 3)

he wouldn’t speak of the wound, and would try to hide it. he would hide it as best as he can because of the idea that nightmare would smell his weakness and return to kidnap him again. he can’t risk letting that happen again.

he would feel the pain, but it will feel muffled compared to the threat he faces.

he might hide away and have a silent panic attack as well.

What if Hazel isn't Nico's "little" sister because she's younger than him and what if it's not a height thing either. What if it's Literally Just Vibes. Nico took one look at her and decided she was more baby than he was. Does not matter how correct he is about it either. What if he took one look at Hazel and said Look At Me. I Am The Captain Older Sibling Now.

first of all ignore the :( emoji i put in those tags cause i do not think it’s a sad song but it was 7am and i was half asleep lol

to me the verses are about sexuality and he ties those to the chorus, which is romantic, with “you/it pull/s me in”. so it’s not fully a love song but it also is because of the chorus.

like i said in the other tags i also like how he plays with the physical places he mentions (street, bar, tunnel, walls) but then says palaces of my mind as if it’s implying those aren’t actually real but its in his head and imo it’s like that. they’re thoughts and i kinda picture it like stumbling around
