I think I've killed something I thought was beautiful with too much editing, so now I'm rewriting it.

When hearing something you once-loved read out to you fills you with boredom and the faintest dread at having to listen to it again, you've certainly gone too far.

I didn't write all of those scenes-I-want-to-see for them to get buried under layers of a writing style that doesn't even taste like my own anymore.

So. Time to back pedal like mad and salvage it!
