My thoughts are the dance of my consciousness on the stage of my mind.

i’ve never liked learning statistics (as it’s a lot of math :< ) however i do understand the importance of it. being a psych student means reading a lot of studies and sometimes just reading the abstract, introduction and discussion isn’t enough. being able to understand the results section (and some parts of the method section) is really essential in being able to read a paper properly. the discussion section can actually be biased! authors can write their discussions in a way that makes their results seem as if they’re significant or have a large effect even when they don’t. if you can read the method section with all its fancy and sometimes confusing jargon, the wording of the discussion will affect your opinion and understanding less as you can develop your own interpretations of the data! remember, the discussion is just someone’s (or multiple someones’) view on the data, it can be distorted by biases, misinterpretation, or deliberate change.
anyway, learning to understand statistics is really important, but i still dislike it hehe
Life is a story about change, choices, and ultimately growing up.
Don’t blame the people around you. The people you once loved or cared about, who you’ve grown apart from.
Life is a story about wandering the world like a fool. The journey called “Life” is about discovery and learning about yourself.
And while we make friends, that journey often takes us on paths where our friends can’t follow. It leads us in directions we can’t imagine.
So, don’t have a heavy heart about the people and things you’ve left behind on your journey.
Look forward to all the new people and things you’ll explore as you travel that long road into your future……
