Abandoned it for a month when life got in the way.. but last piece in the Triptych is done.

Opalite wire wrapped wolf necklace with cherry blossoms + Swarovski crystals  [x]

Had the cherry blossom idea floating around my brain for a white.

Most people go the White Wolf / Winter / Snowflakes theme route, but I wanted something a little different.

I barely remember my Grandmother's stories, but she told me one about the seasons. That Winter was a she - a fierce and unrelenting Goddess of ice storms and cutting winds (Marzanna?). But sometimes, when her daughter wanted to play on the Earth, she would relent and send gentle fluffy snow instead, falling silently from a still sky like soft flower petals.

The image stayed with me.. even though I grew up in the wet and rainy UK, where decent snow is rarely seen..

My own little Wolf Princess was in constant and careful attendance.
