A short film of all the legendary sights G-town has to offer
By Nicole, Holly, Leigh and myself
Sebastian Voodoo
What is the film about?
It is about a voodoo doll trying to save his friends from the enemy.
What is the message in the film?
It is about self sacrifice and putting others before yourself.
What does it make you feel? Why does it make you feel those things?
Made us feel weird, hopeful, satisfied and sad because of the message and the way it was portrayed.
What camera techniques and filming skills have the filmmakers used to convey this: storytelling skills, camera techniques, voiceover, script, camera angles, shot types, lighting techniques.
Music set the mood as it was creepy and dark.
The camera techniques varied as it went from close up on the dolls to a wide view of them all hanging there watching. There is also an angle of it looking down on the hands holding the dolls when they are being stabbed with the needles as well as panning along the line of dolls hanging on hooks.
The lighting techniques is quite dark with hints of warm lighting around the sacrificed doll. It seems more back lit as the warmth seems to becoming from behind the dolls.
Storytelling skills in the beginning is a close up that is dark with a light flashing in the foreground which could for shadow the happy ending which happened as a result of a sad act.
Storytelling skills in the middle the use facial expression to show how the dolls are feeling as the a terrified of dying.
Storytelling skills in the end there is a soft light amongst the darkness as well as showing how frantic the doll is to save the others as it keeps going back and forward between the doll and the human through the camera movement as well as showing the sadness of the others once they release he is gone.
Today we went out to film all our scenes that are based in Glasgow for our 3 minute film project. We used a gimbal which is shown in the image above to provide us with as little camera shake as possible.

In our film groups, we made a storyboard and script for our 3 minute film. We also researched statistics to put in our film.

The Next Steps
• Find the address for the zero waste market in Glasgow.
• Find statistics which are the most impactful. Find out how much plastic is uded in a daily basis.
• Research comparisons - prices, sustainability, how its made, how long it takes to biodegrade, genetic supermarkets who are making change.
