I built an app to help people learn Nagamese! Looking for feedback.
I grew up in Nagaland, surrounded by Naga friends and neighbors. Although I was born in West Bengal, the culture, people, and warmth of Nagaland have always made it feel like home.
One thing I’ve observed over the years is that it can be a little tricky for visitors or non-locals to pick up Nagamese Creole, despite it being the vital lingua franca that connects the diverse tribes of the state. One main cause of this is probably the lack of resources online. I always wanted to find a way to give back to the society that gave me so much love.
🚀 So, I built "Nagamese Kobi".
It's an app to make learning Nagamese accessible, interactive, and fun. Think of it as a gamified guide, complete with lessons, quizzes, and vocabulary practice, designed to help anyone brush up on the language or start from scratch.
👨💻 I need your help! I am currently in the Closed Testing phase on the Google Play Store and I need help from the community to test it out. Whether you are a linguistics nerd, a local who can verify the vocabulary, or just want to try the UI, your feedback is invaluable.
