Nairn, Highland.
Bedroom illustrated in a linoleum advertisement for Nairn Gold Seal Inlaid linoleum, Woman's Home Companion, November 1927
A four-poster bed, highboy, secretary desk, candlestand, dressing table, and ladderback chair, all in antique styles, are visible on this linoleum floor, but the caption describes it as "informally furnished" - maybe because it doesn't look sufficiently wealthy to qualify as formal? Because there's a quilt instead of a damask coverlet? Probably something like that. Calico curtains and ladderback chairs are both referred to as a more humble or cottage style of furnishing in the various bourgeois magazines of this era I've read.
