“Was what you said last night true?” Jay’s voice is small, and he can barely meet Kai’s eyes.
Kai runs a hand through his hair, shuffling through any and all of what he can remember from the night before. His head hurts, worse than it has in a while, and to be honest, he doesn’t really want to know what he may have said at all.
“Uh,” He starts, worrying his lip between his teeth, “What did I say?” Please let it be something other than a confession. First Master, please.
“Well you didn’t say it, per say,” Jay mumbles, hands in his lap. “You kind of just…” He opens his mouth, shuts it again. “I really don’t want it to have been some sort of drunk joke.”
“I just what? What did I do?” His stomach is churning, and Jay is hunched in on himself.
“Can I just show you?” This is the first time he meets Kai’s eyes, and all he can do is nod in response.
Jay lunges forward, pressing a chaste kiss to Kai’s lips. It’s over as soon as its started, and Jay is staring.
Kai realizes, after a moment, that he, too, is staring back. And Jay is starting to fidget as he waits for an answer. He swallows. “I kissed you?”
