Wordy Wednesday: Napkin Notes
There isn't a person at Bryn Mawr who doesn't recognize the term Napkin Note.
This phrase refers to both the notes people write on napkins and post to comment on what they thought of the food (or anything else, really) in the dining halls and the bulletin board upon which they reside. They take the passive aggressive tendencies that many Mawrters are told to repress (to no avail) and puts them to good use.
If you want to post or read a napkin note, the bulletin board in Erdman is to the left of the tray racks, while the one in Haffner is across from theirs. Even if you have nothing to say about the food, the comments can be entertaining, if not downright funny.
Some of the more recent ones ask for decaf in Erdman, or wax on about the amazing idea of using the Moosewood cookbook's recipes in the Haffner menu. After parents weekend, one note even said, "Just because the parents left, doesn't mean the grapes had to."
What was your favorite napkin note?
