One horse lady really wanted to be a more useful worker, because any horse is judged primarily by the strength and efficiency of its work. Sometimes a little help is needed to keep yourself in shape, and despite the clear understanding that it was done with good intentions, a sense of foreboding wouldn't leave her.
Happy Halloween, guys 🎃 Redgrave's connection to death, both in human and animal form, is, for me, one of the fundamental aspects of his character. He has always been and will always be connected to it, whether he wants it or not.
WR148: Greg Arcade / Aaron Starr
For this week's episode, we caught our old friend (and frequent guest) Greg Arcade at a rehearsal with fellow made-in-Manitoba country singer Aaron Starr and rhythm section Josh Ayers and Nathan Kehler (both of whom chime in here and there throughout the show). Because there were other people rehearsing in the same building, to get some quiet, we decided to record in the back of a van. It kind of worked. There's some weird humming at the beginning and a train going by at one point, but otherwise it's all good! We talk country and "upset" songs.
